I’m throwing myself into the deep end and way out of my comfort zone by starting my first Wasgij puzzle from @jumbo_games. This one is “A Piece of Pride” so should be fun to do. Wish me luck 🌈🧩
Q: Have you ever done a Wasgij puzzle? What did you think?
Honestly I don’t love this one. It came in a lot of 10 I got a great deal on from eBay and I’ve had it for a couple of three years. If not now, when ? This is Art Poulin, not my beloved Heronim or his brother Charles W.
There’s too much gold here for July, in my opinion. Probably because I shudder remembering drought years when everything in sight is this scorchy color by July 😑
But I do like the subject matter, making stuff with cardboard is really fun.
And the little plane is cute and I enjoy seeing people on stilts, so all in all, this was a pleasant enough experience.
That is a lot of words for a puzzle I feel pretty lukewarm about !
But hey dm me if you want to hear more. I could probably go on ... 😂

A wooden puzzle! My sister completed this one… found at the thrift store. For however little she paid for it ($2.99?), it was an amazing find. The pieces came in a pretty, iridescent bag (not sure if Ingoood did that, or the person who gave it away…) along with a full-size poster and two strips of wood with puzzle pieces pre-cut in case spares are needed.
Something we’d never seen before - the pieces were all coded on the back with letters, so if you wanted to, you could do the puzzle in panels according to the letters. She didn’t use the letters (would’ve made it too easy), but they did come in handy once or twice when she got stuck! And as you can see, it passes the #puzzlepickupchallenge with flying colours.
We really didn’t know what to expect from a wooden puzzle, but she loved it and I’ll do it at some point in the future. Has anyone else done a wooden puzzle? They seem to be very popular these days.

Headed out of town for the holiday weekend yesterday, but not before snapping a picture of my (finally) completed @masterpiecesinc puzzle 😊
What is everybody doing to celebrate while social distancing this weekend?

Since then, I’ve been in a bit of a funk. I haven’t puzzled. I haven’t lifted.
I got it all sorted out and am (more than) ready to get back to life as usual today. Just here to say it’s ok if you need to take a step back from life sometimes. 🌸
