Tacoooooos! I’ve been thinking about these since the last time we made them. So so good. The balance of being able to eat things like this while staying on track is what makes this journey sustainable. Don’t get me wrong, I love chicken and fresh veggies, but tacos are life. 💁🏼♀️👌🏼

The last year and a half I've been working my ass off (both literally and figuratively). I was so done with being self conscious.
I was so done with hiding myself.
I was so done with not wanting to be seen.
I was so done with feeling like shit.
I was just done!
My initial goal when I decided to go all in was to lose (and keep off) 50lbs. I would get within 5lbs and something would happen.
I have FINALLY done it!
Between these two photos is 51.6lbs! You have no idea how huge that was for me to see a number on the scale that I hadn't seen since freshman year of high school!
Along with the weight coming off clearly did SEVERAL Inches! But that's just the physical aspect of things.
I feel alive now.
I feel happier now.
I feel more confident now.
I want to be seen now.
Emotionally and mentally and big weight has been lifted off of my shoulders!
And I couldnt be more proud. All good things take time and the things that make you work the most for it are ALWAYS worth it!

Here's a side by side picture from October to May. Honestly I have a hard time finding the difference. Ive almost lost 50 lbs but the only thing I've noticed is some clothes feel looser and I can fit into a smaller size. It feels like a lot of weight but I'm having the hardest time seeing a difference. The most compliments I get is that people can tell I've lost weight around my face. I can't tell my triple chin is more of a double now and cheeks are thinning out. Im not going to complain i havent weighed less than 300 lbs since before I got pregnant. Its nice to be able to say im under it. No where near where I want to be but I'm getting there and staying strong. I think im 7 weeks since my last cheat meal. Pretty proud of myself but still can't believe how I still want food thats unhealthy and I'm still fighting myself to not eat it. Its easy to gain weight its definitely harder to lose it. Here's to not giving up and not cheating 🍻 i can do this!
MEMBER SHOUT OUT GOES TO MURIEL FOR losing a total of 50lbs since joining Max Effort!! 4 years ago Muriel nervously walked into Max Effort Fitness and little did she know...just how much it would change her life
Muriel had never worked out regularly before. She was used to walking to get her exercise in. But Muriel wanted more. She knew she had to do more! :
Muriel wanted to get healthy as she approached her 50th birthday so when she saw an ad on Social media for a 6week challenge MEF was doing, she was eager to sign up. Nervous but ready to make a change
4 years later she has done just that and she’s not done yet!!! Over the time Muriel has been with MEF, through knee surgery and quarantine, she has managed to lose a total of 50 lbs! Everyone wants a quick fix, but anything that is lost fast, is quickly regained. Muriel has put in the work 3x a week attending the 6am class and Saturday morning and has accomplished so many things
This past summer Muriel completed the MuckFest 5k obstacle course along with some of her fellow MEFers. She faced a lot of fears that day but made it to the end with the help and support of her gym family
This is my dear friend Jaime. I've been talking to her about Code Red for about 2 years. She has been wanting to lose weight but was not physically or emotionally ready. And that's ok! You have to be in the right state of mind. In February she decided enough was enough. She jumped in whole heatedly and lost 50 libs so far! She has been a rockstar and I couldn't be more proud of her. I'm sad she is moving away soon, I will miss you Jaime!! 😘😘
50 pounds! I’ve been working towards this number for a few weeks now. I know, I know, it’s not about the number on the scale. But lately I’ve been getting frustrated with it. I’ve felt like my clothes have been getting baggier and I’ve started to see the changes in my appearance a little, but the number just wasn’t coming up how I wanted to see it. That changed this morning. Here’s to the next 50! #FatKidToFitKid

#tbt This is what 6 months can do. Where could you be in 6 months? How much is your health worth? If I seem proud, I am. Im proud that I'm no longer considered obese. Im proud that I feel better. Im proud that I took control of my health when I did. It sucks to realize where I was. I didn't really realize it then. I do now and I'm not going back! It all starts with one little change, one decision. If you're reading this and you're thinking about working on your health, DO IT!!! It's worth it, I promise. #healthy#healthyme#bjj#bjjgirl#losingtowin#50lbs
There are THOUSANDS of trainers out there. So how do you choose the one that's right for you? Well, how about somebody who has been through it! 🤗50lb difference between those two photos of me. Weight loss isn't only a physical science it is a MENTAL journey as well! 💪🏻
