Getting closer to having to finalize my color choice for the chevelle. Stuck between these four but leaning heaving towards the Yas Marina Blue from the BMW. Going to either color match the bumpers or paint them black. #70chevelle car was originally green so the Toyota green is kinda cool too...
🙌🏾 The 1970 chevelle ss! 😍 I LOVE THIS CAR!!!! One day ☝🏾 this car will be mine! I have dreams about this car a lot 🤔 maybe because it’s everywhere in my crib, even hanging on the wall above my bed at night when I’m sleep 🤤 lol! 🏁 yea I’m obsessed soooooooo... 🖤
Been super busy here at the shop and haven’t had time to post updates.
Time to catch up, starting with Jays LS6 Chevelle.
Pulled out the factory dash and gauges to put a brand new SS dash complete with Dakota Digital HDX gauges.
While the dash was out we installed the Vintage Air Air Conditioning kit. Tucked all the hoses and wiring inside the fender for a neat finish under the hood.
Wouldn’t want to take your eyes away from that glorious 454.
So after months of phone calls and searching I have a pretty good history time line on the LS6 from 1972 to 1987. The car was sold new at Wilcox Rue Chevy in new Britain CT and has stayed in waterbury CT its entire life. The car was originally gold but painted black in 1972. I wanted to thank @timdecarlo for all his help. His dad was the owner of the car from 1972 to 1979-80 and he has really went out of his way to help me out going as far as digging up some old pics from when the car was painted black (by his dad in 72) and sending me a pic of a trophy his pops won at Lebanon valley with the car some time in the mid 70s. Thanks again For all the help Tim 👍 #1970chevelle#70chevelle#chevelle#ls6#supersport#waterburyct#lebanonvalleydragway
