School Book Character Parade was awesome yesterday!! Mirelle was Fancy Nancy and K4 were Superheroes. :) Watch the parade video, so fun! Kyler did his first singing performance. 🎵 And we went to a bunch of parenting meetings. Love O'Rourke's school culture and involving parents to continue learning both at school and in the family. #bookcharacterparade#7habits#leaderinme#pbis#communityservice#parentingday

Change comes at us nonstop in every form: organizational structures, market competition, government regulations, tax laws, revenue expectations, financial and accounting requirements, quality initiatives, unexpected events… it’s unrelenting.
According to Alan Deutschman in Change or Die, 88 percent of us take on a pessimistic outlook with change. The emotional impact organizational change has on your team must not be underestimated. Consider these practices useful for leading through change:
1) Recognize how the change impacts you. How you relate to and experience it will impact how you communicate it to others.
2) Ask as many questions as possible to ensure you can shape the context for your own team.
3) Identify the level of transparency. Be intentional about what you disclose to ensure your team can process the change at the speed they need to.
4) Decide what your communication style will be during the change. You may need to balance your own mixed feelings while honoring your professional responsibility.
Taking time for myself in the mornings had been so amazing. Getting up earlier, had been hard yes, but worth it. I don’t like rushing in the morning, so I needed to do something different. Instead of hitting snooze a million times, I set my alarm an hour earlier than normal, and woke up. I stretched, used my oils , and had time to be with my husband and dog instead of rushing. .
Timing time for myself in the mornings before the craziness of the days starts, helps set my intention for the day. I used Adaptiv the calming blend, Wild Orange and Balance this morning ⭐️
Do you have a morning routine? What does it look like? ❤️

FOCUS ON WHAT YOU CAN CONTROL
BE THE FORCE. Itulah judul bab ketiga buku “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens: The Miniature Edition”.
Sayalah kekuatannya .... Pilihan saya; tanggung jawab saya; menang atau kalah, sayalah pemegang kunci nasib saya."
Kalau kamu sendiri sekarang bagaimana? Remote control kehidupan kamu sudah ada di tangan kamu atau masih berada di tangan orang lain? Share dong jawaban jujurnya! 😉
Are you the person who hands the paper in at the 11th hour? 📃 if so, your not alone. As work expands to the time you give it. If there is a quick turn around on something, you are likely to get it done quicker but if you have a few weeks, it will get pushed back and pushed back until you have to do it. We live in reactive mode, doing the tasks that shout the loudest at us first. This can be detrimental to us, as this form of organizing and managing tasks slips into other areas of our lives. Those nicer jobs that we want to do that could make a big difference for us, get left to the very end of the list and sometimes don't even get done if something else jumps in beforehand. 👩🏼💻 If you struggle with this, like me, then please read Steven R.Covey's 7habits of Highly Effective People. There is a great section on time management a very useful tool to help. -

Menjadi seorang pemimpin berarti siap menjadi sorotan.
Happy Monday!

Are you and your team delivering activities instead of results? Are the results the right ones?
Delivering results requires leaders to reject the belief that activity equals results; to affirm that, they deliver the right results by aligning their work to the mission and goals of the organization. Such leaders lead their teams with care and consideration so they achieve results in the right way while being mindful of the health and welfare of their teams.
“If the ladder is not leaning against the right wall, every step we take just gets us to the wrong place faster.” Stephen Covey
While researching his masterpiece ‘Seven Habits Of Highly Effective People’, Covey discovered that the lives of many supposedly successful people were actually a mess. If they could live their lives again, many shared that they would have chosen a very different path.
His conclusion was that too often people scramble up the ladder of life only to realise it has been leaning against the wrong wall.
It’s a reminder to pause. Reflect. Ask yourself some enquiring questions. Do this often.
So many of us are guilty of drifting our lives into places we would never consciously have chosen.
Without constant reflection, asking ourselves piercing questions we never discover if the ladder is leaning against the wrong wall.

Do you practice the principle that, with people, slow is fast and fast is slow?
Dr. Covey liked to say, “With people, slow is fast and fast is slow.” Real relationships require us to slow down, even when everything around us is demanding we go faster. Our effectiveness as leaders requires us to take the time to get it right.
Ask yourself: Is your default setting “fast”? If yes, is that shortchanging you and others? Is your efficiency mindset undercutting a more beneficial effectiveness mindset? Understand that there’s no such thing as developing a relationship “efficiently.” Trust, respect, and rapport take time and investment. Intentionally slow down and connect with others in ways they prefer.
The #7habits you need to prioritize if you want to #befitafter40 or at any age really!🤷🏽♀️
If you’re a 40 + lady or perhaps a bit younger you must be familiar with the shit show our hormones start pulling on us when we’re around this age.
These hormonal imbalances, among other things will make us sensitive to stress and more resistant to insulin, causing some weight gain + difficulty losing it particularly around the midsection.
If you want to be able to manage your hormones at this stage in life and continue to be sucesfull with your fitness goals it is a must (I live it every day with my clients and myself )that you add these 7 habits into your lifestyle.
Luckily they are all about ADDING MORE greatness into our lives, not restricting or depriving which at this amazing age of ours(not trying to be ironic here😁)will cause more damage/stress than good!
Let the focus be on just adding more...
5️⃣Protein, vegetables, and fruits to your nutrition
7️⃣Daily activities that make you feel good even if it’s spending 15 minutes all by yourself!
Believe me darling when I tell you, I have been on the other side of stress and spending time alone and obsess about feeling good and your wellbeing are THE best things you can do for yourself, your goals and everyone else around you!🤗 .
Can you share 👇🏽one activity you love to do that makes you feel like a million bucks? How often do you do this for yourself?
#loslaten#overgave#covey#persoonlijkleiderschap#7habits
The biggest thing that holds us back from ‘authoring our life’ is the fear of being disliked or rejected by others for being who we truly are. The fear of rejection is so great that we hold ourselves back from and limit our possibilities. If you really want to succeed in life, the first step is to give up caring what other people think about your choices and your self-expression and follow your truth and inner knowing. Having the courage to pursue your dreams no matter the external pressure to fit in, is what it means to consciously create and author your life. #dailygreatness

Anyone else teach at a Leader in Me school? When I start to get overwhelmed by how much there is to do and all of the things coming down the pipeline that land in teachers’ laps, I focus on being proactive rather than being reactive. There are things I can control that help to lower my stress levels, and make me more likely to maintain a positive attitude. Thank you for this super cute reminder @stacieswift 💕 #leaderinme#7habits#7habitsofhighlyeffectiveteens#beproactive
