During the week it’s really easy for me to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life.
You know what I mean? So I thoroughly enjoy going on little adventures every opportunity I can during the week.
Recently I visited the carvings at Worden’s Ledges in Hinkley, Ohio.
It’s a perfect little evening stroll up to see the sculptures chiseled into giant boulders, and just under a mile hike.
Why You Should Check It Out: 🍁 It is located in Northeast Ohio, in the Hinkley Reservation. It is said that the carvings have been created by Noble Stuart. Stuart started carving the sculptures in the 1940s. 🍁 The signs that direct you to the sculptures on the trail are a picture of a squirrel. 🍁 People say that Nobel carved the cross and bible for his wife, who only left the park which used to be a farm to go to church. The boulders are large and somewhat intimidating, but are very breathtaking as most are covered in moss.
🍁 Everywhere you turn, you find a carving or etching of something random yet beautiful.
Double tap if you would hike these gorgeous trails to see the sculptures.
Hiking mountains is much like the ups and downs of life. Ascending is challenging but you are rewarded with new and grand perspectives from the top. Descending can be painful, but you can choose to be thankful for what you just learned and experienced. It’s all a matter of what you choose to focus on. The power is within you ⛰

Just a river on the side of the road, that’s how the New Hampshire do
Today, I came across a man helping an old vendor by buying all his goods so he could go home and spend time with his family. Stunned and still in disbelief with the man's gesture, he kept asking if it is just a prank. When he was convinced, the old man diligently counted, if he weren't honest he could have just said any amount but he did not. Further, the old man then shared the goods when he learned that he will receive it back. The man's simple gesture created a ripple effect and left the old man grateful.
My realization was, the world could be a happier place if we leave kindness wherever we go.
Tbh I’m really missing Colorado right now. It’s beautiful out here in Eugene but seemingly near impossible to meet people. So really, if anyone knows anyone in the area please send them my way 🙏🏼
