It's the season for Christmas Parties and social activities! Our dietitians always get asked "How do I keep healthy or prevent myself from gaining too much weight in the holidays?"⠀
Their TOP tip? ENJOY YOUR MEAL. Don't let guilt or judgement ruin your holidays or your eating habits. It's all about balance and moderation, not guilt and restrictions. ⠀
Check out 👇 for more healthy eating for the holiday tips:⠀
1) DON'T SKIP MEALS - Skipping meals can lead to overeating later in the day. It's better to have regular meals, which helps control your appetite and prevent overeating later in the day. 🍴⠀
2) CHOOSE THE FOODS YOU LOVE - Many times there's an abundance of food, and we feel obliged to have it all. What's important is choosing the foods you love versus eating everything available. 🍗⠀
3) MINDFUL EATING - Check in with yourself during the meal. Ask yourself if you do need more food, or are you feeling well at this point of time. Unsure if you are hungry? Wait 20 minutes - if it's hunger, your tummy will let you know. 😉⠀
4) STAY ACTIVE - Holidays are when we have minimal/ no work commitments. This is a great time to be more active with your loved ones and use exercise to assist with relaxation. 💃🎾🏊 ⠀
Enjoy the holidays!⠀
So, we are spending the night at an air bnb in Cartageña, the owner is building the home from reused building materials from the old materials pre-war Cartageña and this is what he has created. It's a throwback to another century. At first Mark thought we were at the wrong place, but once inside the huge wooden doors he could appreciate what the owner is doing. It really is amazing and we have this place all to our selves. And of course we have a couple of new 4 legged friends 🐈🐈 #Spain#Adventures#vacation
Avery made it in just in time to peruse the. streets of the Marais on to the twilight magic of the Isle de la cite & Avery' s favorite restaurant St. Regis. As we were walking across the bridge, Avery spotted as friend from Sardinia. Frederico joined us for an evening of laughter, memories, wine & vegan pizza. ♡ #paris#twilight#friends#serendipity#adventures .
Playing With Fire movie! This is another November 2019 movie i wanted to see. Playing With Fire was a fun and funny movie. You get that feel good, fun, safe for kids kind of movie with Playing With Fire. The story is about these Smoke Jumpers, [and not Fire Fighters cuz major difference apparently], looking after these 3 kids that they saved from a cabin fire. You learn about the smoke jumpers and these 3 kids through the story via adventures, situations and shenanigans! It was funny. There were a couple of twist in the story that were interesting. The cast was great and flowed well together on screen. John Cena is really good in this. He managed to find a way to incorporate one of his wrestling taunts in this movie. It gave me a good chuckle. Playing With Fire was fun, funny, family movie. It is not something i need to see again like i say with most of my movie post but it's worth the watch if your into films like these. Thats all i got. Peace.
PS: yes sorry about this picture. It was super hard trying to find a good pic on google for this film. 'Dems the brakes' i guess?
