Being home for so long has been chaotic and traumatic, not only for parents, but also for children who are not used to being locked up. They need to play outside and they miss seeing their friends. My daughter asks me about her schoolmates every day, whom she has only been able to see by zoom for almost 5 months. so I decided to take them to the park, in an area where only we were there. They ran, they jumped, they sweated ... they had so much fun that I'm sure it's the closest to therapy. What a relief for everyone, the tantrums calmed down, even for me it was therapeutic, especially because our summer is very short and the cold season is almost here.

Well that was a shit storm. I don’t know about you but, the storm yesterday triggered flashbacks of quarantine. I found myself reliving the helplessness of life events that threw me off course for a bit. We played cards and monopoly and I watched my kids have mental breakdowns over Wi-Fi, the pros and con crossroads of disconnecting with the outer world.
Shit storms are like that.
Sometimes the storm can be a catalyst to slow down, to go inward and self-explore. Sometimes it is a major life changing event that shoves a soul forward, the raging sea of turmoil promising growth and transformation. I’ve experienced both catalysts, equally powerful.
I’m always reminded that if I remain calm, the conditions of my outer world will have no choice but to calm down too.
This is true.
I still have no power, but when I look back at all the shit storms of my life, I feel pretty damn powerful.

All of these facts about epsom salt are true except one, can you guess which one? 😜
1. Epsom salt is a great way to add magnesium to the soil for your plants in your garden. 🌱
2. It gets its name from the town of Epsom in Surrey, England, where it was originally discovered. 🏴
3. Epsom salt has small amounts of minerals that can help the body get rid of toxins. ☠️
4. Naturally occurring epsom salt contains a light fragrance. 🌷
Comment which fact you think in fact isn't a fact!

Definição de uma amizade tóxica @euangelinaferreira
8 meses (parece 8 anos)
Você sabe o quanto me irrita, me deixa louca da vida.

You guys think humanity is ready for this wake up call coming soon? The 60’s Hippie era was considered a failure but to be honest it was just the first seeds being planted. There is a new generation coming. A generation sick of authorities and corrupt governments a generation that is hungry for truth a generation that want to be free from religion and beliefs forced upon them. A generation that wants to know where they came from.
We all have limited time and resources. If you constantly say yes to everything that’s asked of you, it may not be possible to say yes to the things you REALLY want to do, or the thins that really matter. When that happens, we end up mad at ourselves and mad at others for agreeing to the less important things in the first place. Learning to say no comes with confidence, and we need to train our brains that it’s ok to say no. Learn how in my newest podcast - Link in bio >> @drnicolebyers
I know we are all a little tired right now. There is just so much happening. With all the fear and anxiety in our hearts it can be easy to drop the ball in other areas. Where do you need to remember to pick up your slack?
Your job? Working from home can create all kinds of ways to get you off track.
Your marriage? We serve our partners the best we can even when their behavior does not seem to warrant that kind of grace because that is how we serve the Lord. When you do this, you will ignite your marriage with blessings!
Your children? Take the time to teach them. Focus on their needs. The best gift my parents gave me was an introduction to Jesus. Tell your children!
Neighbors? People are hurting. Look for ways to serve them and your blessings will flourish!
Commit to doing all things for the Lord because your inheritance is waiting. 🙏 💗 📖 #jesusinmycup#service#servethelord#workhard#beyourbestself

If you’re not comfortable or willing to talk about racism in your organization, you have no business in Human Resources.
If you’re not going to hold racists, homophobes, transphobes, etc accountable for their words and actions, you have no business in Human Resources.
If you’re going to sweep racism under the rug and pop a DEI training bandaid on it, you have no business in Human Resources.
If your main concern isn’t about protecting the humanity of your team, you don’t belong in Human Resources.
TIME TO HIT RESET? ♻️
I recently hit the ‘reset’ button on my life and I am SO pleased. I’ve felt a new sense of possibility and adventure every day - which I realised that I need much more than stability, money, or the conventional markers of success.
Loved ones may find it hard to understand your choices, or that you have different goals than they do. Society may not seem to offer a clear path to what you want.
But to anyone dreaming of making a change, scared to take the leap, I say: do it! If your current way of life is not right for you, take control and make a change.
The past two weeks were rough. It wasn’t until I talked with Bryan and pretty much word vomited everything, the night before our engagement shoot mind you, that I started to feel a sense of relief.
I realized I didn’t have to be everything for everyone, do everything on my own or keep everything bottled up in order to make everyone happy.
As an enneagram 3, we want nothing more than to be worthy and to impress others. Not gonna lie, it’s pretty exhausting trying to hold everything together on your own and make it look effortless.
But, like this glare on my face I can’t fix, there are some things we have to work with and through to become better and mentally stronger individuals. Let’s learn to appreciate the light and hope that tomorrow will be a better day and keep moving forward.
