Why do we climb mountains?
1. We can see places very few get to see
2. An amazing view is 100% guaranteed
3. Mountains have something magic: the combination of danger, beauty and greatness
4. All problems dissolve in the mountains
5. It's a meaningful accomplishment and it's empowering.
This photo is taken from the most epic country in Middle East: Oman. It’s such a bizarre experience to see the largest sand desert and this greenery area together during monsoon season. If you ever plan to travel there, consider to visit Salalah between August and mid September.
"Toot toot, hey, beep beep"
Like I said in my last post the best way to get around Yangshuo was on a scooter. Usually I prefer to cycle but you can cover so much more ground on a scooter - especially when it starts to rain. ☔
I was driving as I also have a scooter in Beijing so @squarepegmedia.co was on the back filming and holding the umbrella when needed. 🤭 I wish we'd got a shot of that! .
What do you prefer, a scooter or a bike?

to reach the furthest part of the philippines' northwest. how wondrous.
I was watching the show Shrill and there’s an episode where a little girl pretends she doesn’t want to go in the pool on a family vacation. She stays inside all day and then finally when everyone is asleep, she jumps in the pool, alone and safe from judgement. Honestly it made me want to cry. As an adult I’ve been that little girl, scanning the horizon, hanging my towel on the stair railing for easy access and quick cover when I get out of the pool, lest my thighs offend someone. It was awkward and uncomfortable and I was shame squared, ashamed of my body and ashamed of my shame. 🏝
At some point in the last couple of years however, I decided to focus on how I felt and just stop thinking about how I looked. I realized that there weren’t many swimsuits that I felt comfortable in, and that was probably contributing to my lack of pool confidence. That had nothing to with size and everything to do with fit. I focused on fit and bought a few good suits. #beachesmoms introduced me to @hapari last year and it was a game changer. These suits fit like a dream. I especially love that the straps on this one can be criss-crossed and tied in the back which means no halter headaches (that’s a thing - my neck doesn’t like having to hold up my boobs and halters give me tension headaches!) 🏝
I’ve been doing a lot of swimming and aqua fit classes at the gym this fall and my hapari tankinis and midkinis keep it all contained. I’ve been leaving my towel on my lounge chair and no longer think twice about getting out of the pool. I remembered how much I like pools and feel like I did as a kid. Free. Part of that is feeling more comfortable in my skin but part is also feeling more comfortable in my swimsuits. So here’s a peek at one of my #hapariswimwear faves. I have this style in six colors, I love it so much. 🏝

Friday was much more crowded than Wednesday but the view from Pike Place Market is beautiful! Does anyone know what these locks are for?
Diamond beach is such a stunning location. Definately one of my favorite views in Nusa penida.
I'm still suprised that in one day @cassie_emma_
And I managed to squeeze in nearly all the sightseeing spots.
This morning we woke up early and started west making our first stop at broken beach and angels billabong, then to kelingking beach followed by tembeling beach natural pool and forest and saren cliff point. Then we went east and visited atuh beach/diamond beach aswell as Ruman pohon treehouse and thousand islands viewpoint.
It was probably our busiest day and although it was exciting and amazing to see so many amazing spots we were exhausted. Points to note if you want to swim at angels billabong head their early I'm talking 8am or look up the tide information. I looked it up and unfortunately we were still too late (got there around 9/9.30) and they had workers making sure people did not swim because it's quite dangerous. Kelingking beach was so freaking busy, which made the spot a bit dissapointing.. it was one of my most desired spots to see and the tourists and pushy people definately detracted from the experience.. if I went again I would go out of my way to make this the first stop to avoid the crowds. Atuh beach and diamond beach were beautiful you can walk along the cliff top and see fantastic views.. if you walk down the stairs as seen in this photo there is a swing that will cost ya about $20.. but we had so much fun on it and definately recommend the Balinese people made it really fun. The Ruman pohon treehouse you actually have to pay for a photo which I think was about $5.
Overall it was a good day of sightseeing, but I recommend seperating these sights probably into 2 days seeing east side and west side. We would have done this but we also wanted to head to Nusa lembongan with our limited time. Sometimes it can be hard when you want to make the most of your trip and see as much as possible, but also stopping to appreciate the beauty of the sights and enjoy quality time with the person you travel with. Everyday we reflected on what we loved most and nearly everytime we chose the places we spent time to appreciate.

Come forth into the light of things, let nature be your teacher 🌿

In this journey together.
I am in love with architecture like this and showing the kids the places that feed my soul sparks their curiosity and imagination to a whole new level.
I may or may not already be thinking of our next destination. •
Hey travel tribe! Tasha here! It’s been a productive, relaxing and fun filled retreat so far! I can’t believe we are only on day two! Our ladies are on their way to East Bali today for some sight seeing and more cultural immersion in their cute and colorful Volkswagon jeeps but more on that later!

Walking into the weekend... FINALLLLLLY! Who else felt this week was longer than normal? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our plans this weekend are house hunting, brunching and binge-watching some TV shows + work as per usual. Tell me yours! #alwcstyle#myanthropologie#igrome#poppyandpeonies
I haven’t worn a watch for four weeks now, and I am THIS happy about it.
Could not love these landscapes more.

Some things are worth the 4am wake up call ☺️
This photo was taken during a sunrise hike up Pidurangala Rock. I highly recommend doing it if you're going thru Sigiriya. It's the perfect thing to do before Sigiriya Rock (pictured in distance). .
The hike isn't too hard, takes about 20-30 minutes to get to the top. There are a few parts where you need to climb up some tall rocks that may be difficult for someone with mobility issues. But other than that it's smooth sailing!
Have you done a sunrise trek before? How was it!?
