Island hopping around Krabi 🏝

📍 #KohPoda , #Thailand
HOW TO GET THERE
To get to Koh Poda you should go to Ao Nang and get a long-tail boat ticket at the booth located along the beach road. You also could join a half or full island-hopping day trip by speedboat. For a return ticket you will have to pay about 300baht for each person and the trip takes about 25 minutes. A boat offers space for 6 to 8 persons for the transport. Since many people are doing trips to the islands it usually doesn’t take to long to fill up a boat. On arrival at Koh Poda you will have to pay a visitors fee because the island is part of the Had Noppharatthara – Mu Koh Phi Phi National Park. For foreigners it’s about 400baht and for Thais about 40baht.
WHAT TO DO
Accommodation and infrastructure are rather limited on Koh Poda due to the fact it belongs to Haad Noppharat Thara-Mu Koh Phi Phi National Park. Apart from the National Park Rangers’ camp, there is only a beach restaurant/bar located near the arrival spot, and a small hotel – Poda Island Resort – so you could spend the night there if you’d like. The best is to go before 10:00 so you will have until 15:00 to enjoy all that this small island has to offer.

This is what happened when the river changed its course. The shifts created hills and soil pillars, some as high as 30 metres - all with intricate layers so magnificent. This is Phar Chor Canyon in Mae Wang National Park, about 2 hours drive from Chiang Mai city.
So many little sand banks and islands appear during low tide here. This is the island of Koh Nok, you can just walk right over from Yao Noi when the tide gets that low. I find practicing a pose in sand easier when it comes to flexibility and grounding more than one point, but when it comes to standing balancing poses - it’s a fail haha. I tried a dancer pose 5 times on every beach we hit so far, and it’s pretty funny to me how I can’t do it 🙊 so here’s an extended camel pose instead 🥰
