Days late yet again, but in November, Murphy hit me. I’ve now changed up my budget a bit and will be focusing on putting some money away in a separate savings account purely for emergencies, rather than having to pull it out of this account. I’m happy that I had the money there though - makes the whole thing a lot easier to handle and a lot less stressful in the process. Bring on the end of the year and setting some awesome goals for 2020! What’s your 2020 goals? I’d love to hear them for some inspiration :)
Are you ready to have a job that allows you to work on your terms?
Imagine this, sleeping in and working from home in your comfy clothes one hour or all day. Whatever you choose! Or how about working from your smartphone in-between errands, in the nooks and crannies of your day AND not only are you earning an income but you are helping people and changing lives. Pretty sweet right?
That is my world as a Rodan and Fields Consultant. So I will ask you again, are you ready? Let's do this! I will help you get started with Corporate training, resources, digital marketing tools and so much info to help you become successful with your business. 🌷
This will require us to consistently save at least 60% of our income, we have pretty much hit that SR this year, I think our average is around 56%. I'm motivated to try and make the most of what will potentionally be my last year on a full-time salary before dropping back to 4 days per week in 2021.
I'm working on setting some personal goals and sustainable living goals too. I'm such a #goaldigger 🤣 I love reflecting and preparing for a fresh start 🌱
Have you set your financial goals for the new year yet? What do you want to achieve?

Mailbox bae 😍 I love the look of this modern mailbox with an extra large box! The horizontal pattern of the wood matches the horizontal pattern of the railings + the fence. 😏 The ugly bush to the right was dug up + hauled off. 🔹🔹 Drop a 👷🏽♂️ below when you see him. 👀😝 #urbanjunglerehab 🌲🌳🌵 #newmailboxwhodis 📪

#SelfCare comes in many ways. One of them is setting financial goals, as well as fun goals, for yourself! Spend some time this weekend to think about your goals as the new year approaches. #heelsandyield
I have put together a list of my favorite books, tools, apps, and systems for managing money!
These things have all been super helpful to me and I hope they help you in your financial journey!

My mind has been blown ever since I calculated my debt free date 🤯 And ever since then, I’ve just been working to shave time off that! Next Christmas I’ll be debt free and hopefully have an almost fully funded emergency fund! 🤩
Just since I know some people like to see the breakdown. Right now the extra principal each month takes 4 extra months off! That's pretty rad. It's also cool to think that once it's all paid off we will only have $189/mo to pay which would be $2268 for the year which would be less than one of the payments we are making right now 😯
🎉🎉 1,000 followers!!! 🙏🏾Thank you so much!! I am so grateful for each and every one of you!
My #debtfreejourney has been made so special because of all the love, motivation and encouragement you guys have shared with me through my page and in this #debtfreecommunity !
I ❤️ you guys and I’m so honored to connect with each of you, share my journey and support you on yours!🙌🏾🙏🏾👊🏾🙌🏾

A couple times a year I put something big on my credit card for work and then get reimbursed. I like doing that for the credit card points, but my score always dips while I wait for the reimbursement, even though it’s only two weeks. It goes right back up when I pay it off, but it’s always a little strange for me to see a number that starts with a 7 instead of an 8. Sometimes I think that it’s kind of a waste for me to have such a good credit score because I’m not planning on using it for anything. No plans to buy a house or use a car loan. Even though it doesn’t matter, I still check it every few weeks just to see.

I LOVE listening to podcasts (mostly because I’m a self-help junkie)! Do you love them too?⠀
I picked up so many good nuggets of insight interviewing all the incredible experts during my Building Women’s Worth Summit. ⠀

💫YOUR FOCUS DETERMINES YOUR REALITY💫
My 2020 Mantra.
2019 is when i started my financial journey. I started tracking my expenses, using excel for our monthly budget and saving as much as I can for our DREAM HOUSE. Supposedly we are buying it early next year, but then we realized we want to stay in the same neighborhood. Which means we have to save a year and half more to be able to buy a place just by the neighborhood. #budgeting#dreamhouse#financialgoals

Everything has value...even failure, what matters most is a proper adjustment of perspective and attitude to turn it into a positive experience.
Yes I have other goals for 2020 and I will get to those soon but this goal right here is my top focus other than growing HWSL.
I want this to be a year of growing our networth. We finished paying off our debt this year took a vacay and had lots of fun along the way and now I'd like to take a year to retighten the reigns and save as much as possible.
I'll do a post sooner or later on my plan of attack but for now I'm just trying to wrap my head around this number!
Now all I need is for someone to come over and help me tell my husband this OUR new goal 🤣. Do you have a big goal for 2020 that you are focusing on?

Although I didn't reach my goal of 20 no spend days last month, I was still able to save over 70% of my income.
53% of those savings went to the FI journey fund, while 47% of savings went to my voluntary pension fund. I don't include my contributions to the mandatory pension plan but maybe I will include that in 2020.
How much did you save during the month of November?
You can have all the checklists, self-help books and financial coaches you want, but if you don’t BELIEVE you can and will live debt-free, you won’t. Pre-order your copy of this Faith + Finances Budgeting Journal today through the #linkinbio to get your money mindset together and get on the path to paying off your debt.
Saying that you cannot invest and save for your future when you can afford to buy coffee and wine is a bunch of Horse Poop. I’m not saying to stop doing this, I certainly won’t stop. What I have learned is that money flows and keeps coming when you give it a purpose. Be intentional about where you put your money and you will see how it keeps growing and keeps flowing. If you are still wondering at the end of the month, where did my money go? Then you need to have a conversation with me. Message me when you are ready.

Time to take the trash 🗑 out❗️Take care of your mind 💯
10 years ago, I came back from a semester abroad massively in debt and dealing with a lot of uncertainty. I had to crawl back to my previous job in retail while I finished my undergrad. I would continue to work there for another 6 years. In college, nursing wasn’t seeming plausible, but I still had no idea what to do with my career. I was also dealing with depression and felt isolated.
Fast forward to now, I find myself in a rewarding career that wasn’t my original plan, but I’m not complaining. I have a stable income, with great benefits and retirement. I’m also tackling my debt and building savings. I’m driving a car thats paid off.
What will happen in 10 years? There’s no telling, but I hope I’m still healthy and working in a job I love. Having to not worry about debt will be icing on the cake. 👍🏻 #10yearchallenge#debtsucks#dfc#debtfree#debtfreecommunity#debtfreejourney#debtfreeteacher#Financialgoals#creditcardsucks#payingoffdebt
Do you have a client always complaining about something? A vendor always sending late deliveries? A cheap program that's causing more issues than positive things? Maybe a friend of family member that can't say anything positive? It's time to let go!
At my friend’s baby shower and this is one of the games. I just spent the $50 bill I had on groceries or that would have been checked off. Also, pretty proud that I don’t have a credit card to check off (also thankful it’s only 1 point that I’m missing out on because of it!) 😜

Nothing gets my goat 🐐more than people who won’t help themselves.
When I was “bad at money”, I never accepted that it was just that way and I’d be bad at money forever. I decided to educate myself 👩🏻🎓 and learn what I didn’t know so that I wouldn’t be bad at it any more!
Even children learn this way — they learn their ABCs, then start to read... it is a process. Don’t give up.
You aren’t born bad at math or money, money management is a LEARNED skill.✌🏼

My #10financial10yearchallenge . We have seen the internet blowing up over the 10 year challenge with photos, I absolutely LOVE the spin that @herwellspentlife put on this and talked about her how her FINALICIAL life has changed in the past 10 years!
10 years ago I was 20 years old, in a ton of debt, living paycheck to paycheck, and in financial ruins. The scary part is my life was going to get a whole lot scarier those next couple of years. I had my car repossessed, power turned off multiple times, job loss, failed businesses and really scared of the future.
I’m proud to say that I put my big girl panties on and decided to turn my life around. I don’t even recognize the girl that I once was. I am so proud of the woman that I have become and so excited to see where Jayme and I will be in the next 10 years. (Hopefully with a few kids running around). 😉
👇🏼👇🏼What is YOUR biggest accomplishment in the past 10 years and what GOALS do you have for the next 10? 👇🏼👇🏼
The Myth: Student loans are a part of life. I’ll pay the minimums.⠀
The Truth: You CAN go to school without debt. But if you already have student loans, pay them off as quickly as possible and be free! ⠀
I love the work @anthonyoneal and @daveramsey are doing to educate Americans on the student loan crisis and how we can take charge of our futures. Have you check out their podcast series “Borrowed Future” yet? ⠀
Good morning, friends! 😽 I thought I’d post a timeline of how this whole journey got started. I do want to give credit to my awesome friend Kayla @budgetingmommy for the inspiration! 💓 She posted a timeline in September and I meant to post one myself, but never got around to it until now. Her post also gives credit to @imperfectfinance, so I’d like to show her some love and credit as well!
I’m glad I decided to create and post this timeline now. As I get closer and closer to finally achieving debt freedom, now is the perfect time to show you all the events that have led me to where I am today. A lot of you are seeing the end result and not the process.
Looking back, I’d probably be debt free by now if I never moved out, but I’ll never regret anything in life because I strongly believe that it all works out to our advantage in the end. I grew so much in a matter of six months and I genuinely love spending time with myself. I took my budgeting skills to the next level, learned how to keep my expenses low, and the bond/relationship between my mother and I grew immensely. I do miss living alone, but as you can see above this journey has required a lot of sacrifice. What’s a little more sacrifice at this point?
I can see the finish line, but I still can’t believe it’s so close! As corny as it sounds, I feel like crying. I am beyond blessed to have had all of the privileges and resources available to me to make this possible. I really hope this motivates you to either get started or keep going. Thank you so much to each and every one of you for following and encouraging me! Now, back to the grind baybeeee! 💃🏽💰

Here are the goals I have for my rental properties. I am a firm believer in writing down your goals, drawing pictures of them, talking about them, and manifesting them. This is a perfect time to start writing down those goals.
