A cute little puppy staring down the camera?
A French bulldog with endless amounts of medical issues?
Or a puppy who was disregarded by his first owners, given back to his breeders all because he was DEAF!
He could've ended up anywhere BUT he didnt. My good friend found him on a well known selling site contacted the breeder and the rest is history.
He now has a loving home a sister who is also DEAF, an owner who has the time to understand how to communicate with a deaf dog, giving him the life he deserves and he has a fantastic life!
My children love playing with him, understand him and keep asking mummy to get them a French bulldog to live with my rescue lurcher.
How did you see this puppy when you first looked at his picture?
If someone turned and said to me do I have a speciality when it comes to photography, my answer is YES I DO.
I am unique, I specialise in taking the photo as I see it, not a plan, not a pose just as it is! Natural and tension free.
Plus I specialise in pets, their relationships with their owners and also their story, where have they come from, their journey especially as a rescue or a pet who had a job and then retired.
Meet Daisy, you may have seen her in a few of my recent posts. Daisy’s story started of sad until she found my good friend. She now has a warm bed and is learning how to be a dog.
But Daisy’s story is a little different because she is Deaf. Daisy was the runt of the litter and during a road chain to get her to her foster family she met my friend! This is where her life began. Daisy doesn’t understand that yes she’s a dog but she’s special because she cannot hear. On our last walk Daisy was a bit naughty and ran off towards a lady that didn’t understand Daisy at all and why we didn’t recall her. How can you recall a deaf dog that’s not looking at you? When my friend tried to explain she was met with a barrage of mouth. So sad.
Daisy wears a collar stating she’s deaf. Yes she can be reactive but she’s a young girl wanting to learn to be accepted and also where her place is when she’s out in a pack.
Many dogs aren’t as fortunate as Daisy and end up in the wrong hands, and just like my Charlie rescues have a place in your home as much as a puppy that has been bred.
Would you open your home to a rescue dog? Do you have a story that you would like to share about your rescue?

Today was my 7th birthday, and my first with my new family. I love my #fureverhome almost as much as my #fureversofa 🛋️ And my new toy survived the whole evening! I love it! 😍

Remember @glendeerescue dog Neymar? He’d been abandoned with a broken leg and was looking for his forever home. After Glendee worked their magic, here he is, 3 weeks into his new home, chilling in his Neymar-shaped spot on the sofa ❤️❤️ So THANK YOU to everyone who liked and shared his details - it IS a numbers game, they only need one home and social media can do good things too!
