Are you struggling to stay full during your weight loss journey? ‼️
If you are, you definitely want to take a look at the foods you are eating! 🍕🍔🌮
There are a few things you can do starting today to help create more filling and nutritious meals. 🥘🥗
Once you focus on these 3 things, you can slowly begin to kiss overeating goodbye. 👋🏽
Let's go over the 3 key points in greater detail so you can fully understand! 🧐
1️⃣Eat more protein throughout the day - Are you eating enough protein? 🍗🍖🥩 Protein helps keep you full and if you have it with your main meals, you will be more satisfied after your meals.
2️⃣Eat more foods that contain fiber. Fiber helps you stay regulated and fiber also helps keep you full. The average adult should be consuming 25-35 grams of fiber every day. Foods high in fiber include berries, veggies, beans, and some complex carbs. Adding fiber to your diet is very simple and can make a huge difference in your hunger levels! 🥑🍆🍐🍎
3️⃣Take your time when you are eating your meals. If you scarf down your entire meal in 3 minutes, you are NOT going to feel satisfied. You will start to get into the cabinets and find more things to munch on. Been there, done that! Not anymore! Take your time with your meals, really enjoy the meal you created, and you will find that you are more satisfied by the end of it. 🕐
So, in short, eat more nutritious foods and take your time when you are eating. These tips can really help you prevent overeating and can help you design filling meals. 😋. .

Implementing lifestyle changes is EASY…said no one ever🙅!
Do you find yourself in a rut of setting goals, sticking to your plan of action for a week or 2 or 3, then totally falling off the bandwagon? YOU ARE NOT ALONE👭! There is a VERY important step between setting goals and making a plan that most people miss completely which is “problem solving”.
When I say “problem solving” I mean taking the time to address the barriers (beliefs, attitudes, behaviors, etc.) that have stood in the way from you maintaining lifestyle change in the past 🚧. Truth be told, addressing barriers to change is a key step in several behavioral change theoretical models. It is also a key step I prioritize with my YOUTHTRITION clients before we ever develop a plan of action.
If barriers to change are not addressed and a plan developed to overcome each one, sustainable change is impossible! If you are having trouble identifying solutions to barriers in your life related to your family’s or child’s nutritional patterns I’m here to help! DM me, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit my website YOUTHTRITION.org for more information and resources!
I am not a fan of the sports drinks on the market!! They are so full of 💩 that I won’t let my kids drink them, but they need the electrolytes for sports!!! .
Maybe, you are like me & don’t drink enough water??? I have even gone so far as to set timer & get the water bottles that buzz!! The answer to my/your prayers are here with the NEW YL Vitality Drops! Packed with electrolytes (sourced from the Great Salt Lake, which has over 70 naturally occurring ionic trace minerals!!) and delicious flavor, these drops transform your water intake and stay hydrated all day with two delish flavors. Vegan, sweetened with stevia, and no sugar or artificial colors. The delicious flavors of Grapefruit Bergamot and Lavender Lemonade take your water or favorite beverage to the next level. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 One squeeze is perfect for 8oz of water!
The Vitality Drops Lavender Lemonade and Grapefruit Bergamot is a liquid that is a homogenous, emulsified solution with multiple ingredients, as well as the essential oils. Because the product is a homogenous, emulsified solution, the essential oils contained in the formula will not compromise the integrity of the plastic container.

How do you make sure you live in the present?
Struggling to be consistent in my workouts was a common occurrence for me. Until pre-workout entered the picture. From then on, I’ve never missed a workout since! I want to share with you why this worked and how to apply this technique to your own life
Pre-workout is, as the name suggests, something you take before your workout, to increase its effectiveness. There are many types of pre-workout out there. I’ll share with you the good ones and the bad ones and what to look for. I lean towards natural, organic compounds that work with your body instead of tricking it. I strongly consider you adding a QUALITY pre-workout to your routine. There are MANY benefits to this. It provides your body with essential nutrients and energy sources your body needs to function at a higher level.
DO YOU HAVE THE MONDAY BLUES?? Hello, it’s MONDAY...again. ✨Monday’s don’t have to be a drag, it’s all in how you look at it. Try setting an intention that today will be a fresh start to the week. This will set the tone for the week ahead. ✨When we set intentions, we place the power to change and have a better day in our own hands. It takes our mind off our problems and perceived limitations and puts the focus on opening our minds to welcome the challenges the week brings. ✨How do you FACE Monday’s?
What have you found works for you?

No. 8: “I want to come in for preventive care.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You have a vision and dream for what your future will look like; the things you will do, the places you’ll go and how you will feel.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What steps are you taking NOW to improve yourself and your life LATER? Those steps are called preventative care!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Starting chiropractic care before trouble, discomfort and symptoms set in allows your body to work through stresses before they ever become an issue. How awesome is that?!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our patients on wellness (preventative) care see amazing changes. Our patients have felt:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌿 More grounded⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌿 A strong sense of calm⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌿 Ease of body functions⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌿 More in tune with their body⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌿 More connected to loved ones⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌿 Able to be the best version of themselves- mentally, emotionally and physically⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When is the best time to start preventative care? ✨Birth.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The next best time to start? ✨Now.
The cold and flu season is just ramping up. From calling in sick to work to missing quality time with family and friends, feeling under the weather wreaks havoc on your daily life.
The best way to avoid falling prone to the inevitable changing of the seasons is to fuel your body with proper nutrients. There are many Naturopathic diet, lifestyle, and supplementation tips that can help you avoid catching the common cold or flu. Here are some of the top tips from your favorite naturopathic doctor in San Diego to support your immune system naturally during the winter season:
Get Adequate Sleep. Sleep plays an important role in the function of your immune system. Without sufficient sleep, your body makes fewer cytokines, a type of protein that targets infection and inflammation, effectively creating an immune response. Cytokines are both produced and released during sleep, allowing illness to settle in without a proper night’s rest. Be sure to get 7-9 hours of sleep during cold and flu season.
Exercise in the morning is vital in order to get the most out of our day. I know we are all busy and sleep is amazing! But even if we can set aside 15-20 minutes of exercise it would make the world of a difference in our daily lives.
Exercise in the morning will:
* Reduce feelings you may have of depression or stress
* Your metabolism will work faster
* It helps build muscle more effectively
* It will increase your alertness and overall energy throughout the day
* Improves you sleep
So wake up when your alarm goes off tomorrow instead of hitting the snooze button. Find a way to fit it into your daily routine and try it out tomorrow morning. You will notice the amazing difference it will have in your life.
Your health should be your #1 priority. Over your kids, your spouse, your work, all of it. If your health fails everything will fail. If you aren’t living as the optimal you then nothing will be extraordinary. It time to live extraordinary!

Might be a day off, but I’ve got things to dooo! What’s on your agenda today?
Do you use a food diary to track your nutrition? I hadn't logged my food in a long time, up until this past weekend. It led me to have a major 💡lightbulb💡 moment about it, so I wanted to share my experience.
I've been training extra hard for the past few months to look and feel my best for my hot vacation next week. I love my body and my health, but I wanted to do some fine tuning for bathing suit weather. Now despite stepping up my game with my workouts and eating extra healthy, I haven't seen the changes I've been working towards, and it has been frustrating. So it got me thinking about why that might be. I've never had a big issue with hitting my goal before, so why now?
Things change as time passes. I'm in my mid-30's, so age isn't on my side anymore. I also am in the maintenance phase, so any additional changes take more work and are hard to sustain. But what about my caloric intake? I busted out the ol' @myfitnesspal app to take a closer look. And my findings provided me the A-HA moment I needed to piece it together. I was eating way too much!
I had allowed myself to eat as much as I wanted because it was quality food and I'm super active. But low and behold, my calories were hitting over 2,500 some days! 🤔 Breakfast yesterday was a 600 calorie meal, which immediately put me into perspective.
It is entirely possible to eat too much food, even if it is healthy. And after just a few days of data to analyze from my entries, I know exactly what I need to do to break through my plateau.
So the point is: logging your food, even if it's just temporary, can provide you with the valuable insight you need to make the tweaks to your eating that align with your goals. I love MyFitnessPal because it auto calculates your calories, macros, and nutrition. So if you haven't tried it before and you're struggling with your progress, this tool can provide enlightening information to further assist you in your journey towards healthier eating habits - both quality AND quantity. 💕

Smoothies are the perfect vehicle for veggies🙌🏼 I‘ve been on a smoothie kick for years now and I just love how easy they are to whip up on a busy morning. Some days, they’re made with what I have on hand but I just know they help start our day with bellies and bodies full of plant goodness. My boys love to help me come up with different combos and this creamy carrot smoothie is a favorite!🥕
💚1/2 cup raw carrot, chopped
🧡1 frozen banana
💚1 cup unsweetened almond milk
🧡3-4 pitted dates
💚1 Tbsp unsalted + creamy almond butter
1. Add milk + dates to blender first and blend until fully combined.
2. Add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
*makes about 2 cups*
... @elkandfriends colorful glass mason jar tumblers with protective sleeves work so well for our smoothies! The lids are made from nontoxic plastic and the straws are silicone with stoppers. We even use for snacks, overnight oats, to simply store food in, etc. with the leak proof/airtight lids included - I show you how in my stories! Be to sure to check these out, along with their stainless steel cups with straws which we LOVE!💯

On my way to work, as today’s the first day of my new job! Lots of you have asked what I’m up to, so I’m excited to share that I’m working in the NHS in early intervention and prevention for children and young people’s mental health. I’m nervous as there’s lots to learn, but also can’t wait to get stuck in! 🤓
There’s no way I was going to go to work hangry, so my day started with this bowl of chunky chocolate chia cherry oatmeal topped with greek yoghurt and a generous drizzle of @seadfoods original sesame butter. Have you tried Sead Foods yet? I’m honestly hooked! Plus, you can now find Georgia’s range in Sainsburys and on Ocado! 🙌 #mylifeisforliving
In 2010, I went to college.
In 2011, I gained 30lbs.
In 2012, I started dieting.
I lost the weight... and then some. I didn’t know “maintenance” was a thing. I didn’t know diets had an “end point”. I just thought you kept “dieting” if you wanted to STAY skinny.
I didn’t know how to stop. I was afraid to. I was terrified of eating anything other than protein. I was petrified of weight re-gain, so I only “ate clean” and I exercised 2 hours a day, sometimes 2x a day.
Mannn, I vividly remember doing jumping jacks in my dorm room to burn off baby carrots... YES. Freaken carrots.
Someone asked me in my question box yesterday, “what’s your why?”... And truth is, my why is that girl on the left.
The reason that sharing quality content is so important to me, is because of her. That girl fell into every health and fitness misconception in the game. And when you’re young, 19, in college, and “want to get abs” you’ll do anything to get there. You believe every fear mongering SHIT article about carbs being the devil, fat making you fat, and fruit being “too high in sugar”.
But, what I’ve discovered in my later years is that most adults fall for a lot of the same flashy fitness trends and fad diets that I did in the early years of my fitness journey.
That’s why I created Smarter, Stronger, Better. That’s why I care about educating you all. That’s why I don’t feel bad about calling out bullshit. Because I’ve seen first hand the damage that misinformation can do. And if I can prevent just one person from spiraling down the dark path I did, then I’m fulfilling my purpose.
I created Smarter, Stronger, Better to guide ANYONE and EVERYONE through their fitness journey. Whether you’ve struggled with sustainable dieting, how to make progress in the gym, or you’re just hoping to learn more about macros, nutrition, and resistance training, then this program is for you. It’s the guide I wish I had when I first started. It’s the guide that could have prevented me from spiraling out of control. It’s the guide that can change your health and fitness journey for the better. Trust me ❤️
Smarter, Strong, Better has OFFICIALLY launched. You should get it. Link in my bio.

working on the weekend, like usual 😌 .
hey what’s up hello friends - can we talk about injury prevention for a minute? I spent my weekend in an awesome physio course (@therunningclinic@jfesculier ) focused on preventing running related injuries - but one of the main concepts can be applied to so many sports and activities. #loadmanagement (buzz words 😂). But in reality, my main takeaway was how important “adaption” is in preventing injuries. I think there’s this misconception in sport & fitness that we have to always “confuse” our bodies with different workouts or push ourselves to our limits everyday. “Adapting” to a workout is sometimes portrayed in a negative light on this little app. But listen, its okay to get comfortable. It’s okay to not progress all the time. It’s okay to deviate from your training plan if your body says so. .
For example, if you’re a runner switching from a max to min shoe or a different gait pattern - just because you can run 10km in without too much discomfort right away doesn’t mean you should. For me, just because my hamstring tendon isn’t sore doesn’t mean I should force it into the splits right away. It’s okay to start small. In fact, it’s better to progress slowly. Allowing our bodies to adapt to the workout / stress we put on them is the best thing we can do to prevent injuries. So take a breath, slow down - and know that the little wins always add up to the big wins. .
If you want to chat more about this pls comment, send me a message, or find me in the clinic 💙 injury prevention and #futureproofyourbody is one of my biggest passions. .

Business in the front and party in the back 💪🏼
This post is for all the ladies that are afraid to pick up the heavy weights. Chest and back day is one of my favorite days to lift, and I’ve seen such a difference in my posture since I started dedicating more time to it! Most women just want a nice booty, but what about a strong back side to go with that peach? #strongissexy . .
