I'm an old-fashioned guy... I want to be an old man with a beer belly sitting on a porch, looking at a lake or something.... ________________________________

The power of dream is so huge..! I had always dreamt of being on this mystical land of high passes., which came true one day..! The joy of being in the Himalayas cannot be just put in words, its indeed a magical experience..! 😍
When you wake up each morning, you can choose to be happy or choose to be sad. Unless some terrible catastrophe has occured the night before, it is pretty much up to you. Tomorrow morning, when the sun shines through your window, choose to make it a happy day.

The Mardi Himal trek is all about the glorious Macchapucchare mountain, or the Fish-tail as it is locally known. Getting a clear sight of this beautiful mountain is a tough one, and we did manage to have some really nice views of the same from the Base Camp, before it was lost in the clouds.
This pic was taken from the behind of our lodge at Low Camp, at 9 pm when the sky is clear. The sky was lit with stars, and Macchapucchare was shining bright far out there.
Pic taken on my Canon 80D along with 50mm 1.8, and edited in Snapseed
I like colours, almost in everything.
Be it my clothes, my photographs, my life or even an umbrella now!
This is a celebration post. I am writing this not only to celebrate my advent to 30,000 followers but to celebrate each and every one of you who have been a part of this tumultuous yet exciting journey; to celebrate those who put faith in me when I was a nobody; to celebrate those who have journeyed the beautiful mountains with me for the last 2 years; to celebrate those who have showered me with praise and criticism as both have helped me grow and improve; and to celebrate the fairly new additions who have put their faith in me without knowing me.
All of you have been an integral part of this journey and I want you to know that without you guys, all my trips would have been incomplete. Even if virtually, you have made mesmerising sunsets more beautiful, made bumpy bus rides bearable, and have pushed me to keep getting better. Also, I've made so many good friends from this platform that I never thought I would.
I want to thank you all for sticking by my side, even when the road got tough, and helping me in realising my dreams. Thank you for reinstating my faith in my own dreams, whenever I had doubts. After connecting with you guys, I have realised the real value and power of words.
Looking forward to many more adventures with you all.
We still have a long way to go together.
A century ago Rudyard Kipling in his Novel "Kim" described Spiti as "A World within a world" and "A place where the Gods live". Things have hardly changed since then. In the depths of winter, this primeval and harsh land is often cut off from the rest of the world.
Join us this winters as we explore SPITI like never before.
What makes this Expedition exclusive is that you get a chance to test your fitness and enjoy the winter landscapes of Spiti. Also, once in a lifetime opportunity to spot a Snow Leopard in its wild habitat.
While the main focus of this tour is to experience the utter thrill of being in Spiti in winters, you would also stand a chance for encounters with Snow leopard, Himalayan Ibex, Blue Sheep, Red Fox, Golden Eagle, Tibetan wolf, Himalayan Griffon vultures and even the Lynx
"You may say
"I've been down these streets before" and that's okay
But possibility is never gone
Aimless they say is without aim
But I have never seen purpose stop the rain
On any street corner
You may find the lights of your day, the soul of your hour
The dark of your minute, the love of your life
Or maybe not
But you may find something you haven't already got
Of course, not all of the days can be magic days that stun and amaze
But possible you may find a lonely smile that sings and cures
Or even better, you might find yours"
