Poor Kara was forced to wear the cone of shame today 😥🐶 It lasted from when they put it on at the vets until she tried to get into the car and failed ha. She has a horrible ear infection that the meds they gave her two weeks ago didn't work on, a hot spot she's licked to the point of bleeding (hence the cone), and her hip dysplasia is really hurting her right now. Poor baby, I hope she feels better soon. However, you'd never know she's hurting because she always so happy. 🐶♥️ #muttsofinstagram#rescuedogsofinstagram#ilovemydogs
A Boy And His Dog At The End Of The World - C.A.Fletcher
This is a post-apocalyptic book about a family dog who was stolen, then her owner ventured out to the world, a journey through a ruined world, to find her.
I’ve found myself not picking up books based in a post-apocalyptic world. Also, I have chosen to not read stories that have dogs in them, because I’ve somehow become too sensitive to books or movies that have dogs - really, it’s because I don’t know if they’re going to die or not...don’t judge, this is just where I am. 😛 BUT, what made me pick it up and take it home was what I read on the inside flap: “My name's Griz. My childhood wasn't like yours. I've never had friends, and in my whole life I've not met enough people to play a game of football.
My parents told me how crowded the world used to be, but we were never lonely on our remote island. We had each other, and our dogs.
Then the thief came.
There may be no law left except what you make of it. But if you steal my dog, you can at least expect me to come after you.
Because if we aren't loyal to the things we love, what's the point?” I could not put this book down. I thought it had well developed characters, it had suspense (I actually had to take a break when it got to a dog part - I was committed, and it was intense...), it was about courage, love and of course, dogs!
