One of my wife’s creations for a table centerpiece she made with her friend Lee for their holiday party. This was a styrofoam cone layered with white plastic teaspoons.

It’s beginning to look a lot like X’mas!
It’s just 9 more days to Xmas Eve!
Seasons greetings from our family to yours!

What a day on Rhodes. Amazing views, rainbows, winds that almost blew me off my feet, and a stunning meal at a local taverna. Now rounding out the day with an ABBA show onboard the Celestyal Crystal, natch.
I’ve decided I’m putting a book together of all of my film from the trip. It’s all 35mm but I’ll include scans of postcards Ali wrote me and then hopefully write about the experience of each place, the realizations and life lessons and a sweet tribute to Walden. I knew I wanted to do it when I got home but holding my copy of @1924us Forth Goes The Road gave me the last push of inspiration I needed. Being able to create a way to tangibly hold this trip just feels like the best way to honor and be grateful for the time I had.
That’s my goal for next year though, for now I just want to keep sharing all my digital favorites through this little app.

T’was the night after spending a long day drinking beer next to the pool and we headed into #phukettown for the night, which happened to be celebrating the last of of the ‘Nine Emperor Gods’ festival.
People were out on the streets, letting off fire crackers (lots of them!) Families were out celebrating long into the night all across the old town.

Going to the bakery for morning bread and a croissant 🥖 🥐 You can get a baguette bien cuite (well-cooked and crusty, what I prefer), pas trop cuite (under-cooked and soft), or maybe you want just half a baguette (une demi-baguette). For about 1.30 euros, you can walk home with a warm salty baguette with butter 🧈 to start the day. A treasured morning ritual for me in Paris #littlelifetable
On my walk home last night I started thinking about how weird it is that I am constantly in confined spaces with random people I don’t interact with hardly at all. This is pretty true for anyone who lives in a highly populated area. We sit on busses and trains next to people who won’t ever see again and almost never even say a word to.
What does it say about humans as a species that we have so many outlets for connection and interaction and yet we choose to stay in our bubbles most of the time? Is this by design, default or defense? For most of us it’s a lot easier to just pass by each other without leaving a trace on one another but at the same time we as humans tend to need connection and usually seek it out as long as we are able to find it somewhere in our comfort zones.
The older I get and the more I analyze society the stranger we seem as a species.
"Deep down you know exactly what you're capable of. There's even moments where you get a glimpse of all the potential you have. You can get there. You just have to be willing to sacrifice the habits, things, and situations that are standing in the way of your success."
The other night I told Dan that I was going start tracking my food once I start getting back to the gym. He laughed. It hurt my feelings, but it was fair for him to laugh... I have been taking about getting back to the gym for months.
The truth is that I used to be a gym rat. The truth is that I have been off and on. The truth is that I absolutely love the way I feel when I'm putting myself first and on a regular routine... So why is it so hard to start again? And why have I stopped?
It's about priorities. It's easy to say you're putting yourself first, but is it true if you keep putting off the one thing that would make you happier? I want to get back to a place where I feel comfortable in my own skin. I want to look smoking hot in my wedding photos next year. And I want to stop talking and start doing!
What is it that you keep talking about but never take action on? Maybe we can start together.

Just back from the wild having spent five days doing the Los Dientes trek on Isla Navarino in Chilean Patagonia. Legs and back aren’t quite sure what happened to them but eyes and camera suitably impressed.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ All is well. A big family dinner celebrating mama’s birthday before flying. Though, not without staff and us confusing the orders of our big party, lots of laughs for umm quirkiness and always always ending with ghost stories.
Listened to a song that read, “What am I now? What if I’m someone I don’t want around?“. Reminiscing back to late 2017 to 2018, to when those thoughts looped in my mind. Scariest and loneliest periods and I thought I’ve experienced the worst. Grateful to have had overcome that, no matter how long it took me, the longer it will last. Proud of myself, then and today. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
January will come and I will meet it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Only three of you can change your lives today. 😳
