Two interesting observations from my little Instagram Story test:
1/2 I observed a clear correlation between Hashtag usage volume and Hashtag story views. The higher the volume, the more views I generated. This is contrary to the opinion, you get no visibility against big accounts/brands (at least not in my test with stories)
2/2 When I used 3 Hashtags in one story, I always generated at least 1 Hashtag story view. I never generated one single view with 4 Hashtags. Much doesn`t help much, in stories, it seems. Keep an eye on your organic impressions 🧐⠀
Facebook is re-configuring reach calculations to be more in line with how ad reach is displayed.⠀
In changing the way organic Page impression are calculated, it’s entirely possible we will see a reduction in perceived Page and post reach.⠀
This is in line with Facebook’s decision to get rid of the gray tick based on feedback which suggested users didn’t actually know what this was. In doing so, it’ll be harder to ‘prove’ that your Page is legitimate and *deserving* of organic reach.⠀

I have always hated selling because I have always hated being sold to
THIS created, what I now realize, a massive block when it came to scaling my business & making sales
When I was studying business back in university, I made sure to not take any sales courses because I swore I'd never be one. I'd often find myself saying, any job is better than being a salesperson. I'd laugh, I'd giggle, & even ridicule anyone who wanted to go in sales (sorry, I was a dick back then)
You see, I hated sales because majority of the times I have been sold to, it was bad, like reeeally bad. They were usually aggressive, wouldn't take no for an answer, would constantly push & when I'd finally give in & purchase I'd regret it even more so because the product would be of ZERO value to me!
There was no one worse than a sales person to me & honestly, I don't think anyone could blame the old me for thinking that
So what changed? Why have I not only changed my mind about sales but have also adapted into one. Well, the latter was out of necessity considering I am a one-woman creative studio. But still, why?
Because I finally met salespeople who weren't toxic
And you know what they did different?
They were in it for the long run
Instead of selling to me, they invested in building a relationship w/ me
They genuinely wanted to know whether or not their product was a right fit for me & when it wasn't, they'd back off politely, still maintaining the friendship we built
That in itself made me want to buy because I ended up trusting them & I never regretted it, ever
This is always what it comes down to, building trusting relationships & genuinely wanting to provide value
When profit becomes about the impact your product provides & not the money you get from it, you automatically become a great salesperson
So focus on:
✰ Creating value
✰ Building relationships
✰ Forming a trusting rapport
✰ Soft selling
✰ Making positive impact

Since August, Instagram has been experimenting with the removal of likes ❤️ in some countries (Australia, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Japan and New Zealand). There is speculation that this will lead to a roll out in the future especially as Facebook could soon start to hide them too, as reported by Techcrunch.
Why have they done this?
It's thought that this is to aid mental health and reduce the destructiveness of comparison.
If this is the end for 👍, ❤️, 😂,😢, 😡 then comments are going to become even more sought after.

🌛Segundo a pesquisa da Squid sobre a Hora do Rush dos Stories, a resposta é às 23h!
👉Este é o horário com o maior número de impressões em quase todos os dias da semana, especialmente às sextas.
👉Quarta-feira é a exceção, quando o pico de visualizações ocorre com mais força entre às 19h e 22h. Já no domingo, além das 23h, o período entre 11h e 15h se destaca.
👀Ao analisar as visualizações ao longo do dia, é possível perceber alguns picos rotineiros.

5 years ago I was pregnant, working part time in ASDA stacking shelves and scanning groceries, barely earning £300 (Roughly $370) a month, I was constantly broke, on benefits (Government aid), using coupons to help me buy basic essentials/food supplies.
I hated my job, but I hated my situation and life even more! Constantly in tears, stressed and depressed. Always comparing myself to others, friends, family members asking God and asking myself why me? Always wondering if my life would get better, if I deserved better, after all I made my bed so I should lay in it right??
Fast forward 5 years later, here I stand in 2019, I lived. Not only did I live I OVERCAME! 5 years later I am the mother to a beautiful, smart and loving child! I have an amazing job, I am pursuing my passion and KILLING it! I’ve built several businesses from 0-100 without any academic history or knowledge in business. I’ve built a social media empire with a network of over 1million. I’ve worked with some of the biggest brands in media and the hair and beauty industry. I’m constantly growing and loving every moment of this journey.
I am proud of the woman I’ve become today because I struggled in that dark DARK place all those years ago, I’ve earned my experiences, my scars, my happiness!

Durante o dia de hoje, várias pessoas me perguntaram se estaria acontecendo algo nos stories.
Com isso, fui pesquisar. Fiz enquetes nos meus stories, troquei ideias com alguns usuários e fui analisar os meus próprios stories.
Uma coisa que reparei é que desaparecem aquelas visualizações fakes de robôs que visualizavam stories sem estarem me seguindo.
Além disso, alguns usuários relataram bugs nos seus stories. Segundo eles, o número de visualizações também desapareceu.
Perante o que vi hoje, creio que:
1. Os robos realmente desapareceram. Pelo menos na maioria dos perfis. E isso obviamente levou a uma queda do número de visualizações.
2. O algoritmo parece ter mudado um pouco. Pessoas que costumo visualizar stories nem estão aparecendo no início da fila de círculos para mim. Este último pode ser reflexo da tentativa de eliminar os robôs.
O conselho do #tiolu é: não desespere.
Se os robôs sumiram, isso é bom para você. Aguarde alguns dias para ver se o algoritmo estabiliza. E faça testes nos seus stories para ver se consegue recuperar as views.

What is with our obsession of knowing who unfollowed us, and what other people are doing?!
Human nature is funny; we are so unbelievably nosey and self-destructive. Why do we want to know who unfollowed us? More importantly, why do we care? I have friends who obsessively check (even though I've told them numerous times that apps that name who unfollowed you are working outside Instagrams terms and will get you kicked off the 'gram). After checking they get upset and agonise over what they might have done to upset them (probably nothing, they just don't connect with your content anymore). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Unfollows ar part of your evolving brand, as you find your place in the industry and your tribe. If I look at who I follow on my personal Insta account, you can see the phases of my life and how my interests have changed. There is a spate of following the cast of Love Island, loads of Bali retreats and a whole load of yoga influencers... At times I go back through and unfollow accounts that no longer interest me - it's nothing personal, my tastes have changed.
Last week, Instagram removed the Activity tab or "stalking tab" as it was known. This tool (unused by 73% of you according to my Story poll last week) showed us what the accounts we follow were doing in real-time - super useful for us business owners, but a point of contention between lovers and friends ("why didn't you answer the phone when I rang, I can see you were liking photos on Insta?!") #awks
Instagram decided to remove the feed for two reasons, a lot of people didn't know it was there and those that do were using it to stalk. Although I am sad to lose it from my business intel, I am pleased to see they are taking action towards improving the social media mental health crisis - now if only they could get a handle on the sheer number of unfollow apps!
So, come on 'fess us, do you use 'unfollower' apps and agonise over who unfollowed you? I'll admit I have used them in the past, but don't anymore. #smallandmightybusiness 📸 @peopleiveloved
