Chatru to batal road, #chotadhara was overflowing so we could not cross it in our humble alto, so we were advised to spend a night in chatru itself and try to cross the water stream next morning when the water levels will be low.
There are tents available to stay, this was the view from back of my tent.

TGV - The Goat Village
GreenPeople’s base site and has turned out to be far more beautiful than initial expectations.
Amongst its myriad hues are the greens of the oak & rhododendron trees and deep blues of the endless sky. The vistas are unmatched and air is crisp. There are goats on the site that start their morning walks and return only when they have grazed green pastures of the surroundings and afar.

• moon gone~
plight of the sight
or the end of
how once upon a time
you lived in stride
despite the fight
can you suffice?
moon must be a lover
leaves you in despair
embraces the specks
Isn't it only fair?
you take the ride
the road is long
thrill of the unknown
keep singin' that song
stare starry skies
know you are
light years behind
there ain't no sequel
to start another page
Its a closure
if not, a poem
words put together
on cramped pages
phone notes erased
the poet escaped
the lone keeps walking
must be crazy
to him, his own
his story, his bones
to the ones
we'll cross paths
and that day
I hope we meet beyond the lost time ⏳
Photo featuring Suicide point on the left before Roghi Village in Kinnaur Kailash valley.
The drive from Tabo to Kaza was physically exhausting. The bumpy road, the heat, the dust, moreover, the decision to munch on sour seabuckthorn fruits in the scorching hot weather wasn't a great idea ☀️🤯.
But I wouldn't complain much when the view from my open-air seat was such😍💜.
The window seat has always my favourite, but if it's a traveller vehicle with an open-air goods section at the back, my seats are booked!☺️ What about you?

Hundar, nubra Valley
After experiencing the sand dunes in Jaisalmer, it was altogether a different experience here in Nubra Valley. No wonder these sand dunes could exist at such a stature height.
I had seen single-humped camels earlier but to see the double humped camels was something I was looking forward to.
The beautiful "Rora Valley" located in Kinnaur nestles this spiritual lake, thought to have been built by "The Pandavas" during their 14 year of exile in the Himalayas .
It also symbolises the rule of “Raja Pradhuman“, son of Lord Krishna, in the princely state of Bushahr, which at a time spread for Rampur to Kinnaur. The lake houses in the centre of it, the highest “Krishna Temple“ in the world, at an altitude of 3800m. One can witness varies passes such as “Listigarang Pass“ which leads to Kafnu village, which further leads to “Bhaba Valley “ through which one can enter the “Pin Valley“ or “Parvati Valley”. “Buran Pass” which leads to “Chandarnahan Lakes“ of shimla, which is a group of seven lakes. “Kashang Pass" can lead you to Kalpa and Reckong Peo of Kinnaur.
You will also see the “Kinnaur Kailash“ range on the right side of this backdrop. The approach starts from “Yulla Khas" and it is an easy trek of about 12km.
