«Если бы в следующее утро Стёпе Лиходееву сказали бы так: «Стёпа! Тебя расстреляют, если ты сию минуту не встанешь!» - Стёпа бы ответил томным, чуть слышным голосом: «Расстреливайте, делайте со мной, что хотите, но я не встану».»(с)
Elastic bands are 🔑!! I always get asked how to keep a glueless wig secure. The answer is an elastic band! My wigs do come with a clip as well as an adjustable band already sewn in. The adjustable band is made to fit any head size. The band basically hugs the nape area of your head and this is why it is so secure. Not to mention this also keeps your lace laying FLAT at the top for a more natural look. There are some people who prefer not to wear and elastic and would rather use clips or sew their wigs down so these adjustable bands are easy to remove!
If you are new to wearing wigs you will eventually find what works best for you !

Sharing some of my January research on birthday traditions around the world:⠀
The first birthday cakes are said to have originated in Germany in the 1400s. Display cakes that were elaborately decorated with marzipan later came into fashion in the era of Queen Elizabeth I for banquets and weddings, and due to their expense, were only made for the aristocracy. During the Industrial Revolution, sugar and baking ingredients became more readily accessible to everyday people and the baking of birthday cakes became a common home practice around this time. The Germans are credited with adding candles to birthday cakes in the 1700s as part of Kinderfesten (child's birthday celebrations) where each candle on the cake symbolized on year of the child's life, plus an extra candle to bring blessings for the year ahead ("one to grow on" as we now call it). ⠀
My most memorable birthday cakes were the alternative styles my mother and grandmothers made me as a child, because of my strong dislike of icing. My mom would stencil elaborate patterns in powdered sugar on the top of a chocolate cake, or my grandmothers would make a carrot cake or angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream to celebrate my birthday each year. I'd love to hear about your most memorable birthday cakes in the comments!⠀
