Past days I’ve been thinking about this place in Burma I visited a few years ago. It’s the best expression of how I would love the world to feel right now. Peace. Pure stillness and peace.
We all wanna say so much sometimes, want to fight for others, want justice, fairness.. And there is nothing wrong with it all. But it has to start within us. We can protest, share, blame.. But can we be honest with ourselves first? Do we truly, fully embody what we want to see in the world?
Embody the peace. Be the love. The ‘out there’ that needs to change, can only change when the ‘in here’ changes.’ And when that happens, life will shift naturally.
The moment we start being true to ourselves, we start living our truth, the truth gets bigger and it influences more people than anything else ever will.
As Mahatma Gandhi said “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” It all starts within us. Otherwise it’s just in our head. It’s just words. And words without action really don’t mean much. So if we want peace, let’s become peace, surround ourselves with peace, radiate peace and trust that life will follow in the flow.
Tell me why do I keep trying
To be someone I'll never be
I keep seeing her in everyone
Everyone but me
But I know you truly saw me
Even if just for a while
Maybe that's why it hurts now
To leave it all behind
I don't know what it is that makes me run
That makes me wanna shatter everything that I've done
Why do I keep dreaming of you?
Is it all because of my rebel heart?
Oh hey. It’s the one behind the camera and of course, the boy who endures so much of his mom chasing him around 🥰 we’re a military family originally from Miami. I started photography to one day capture THESE moments, documenting all my baby’s milestones. I don’t have many photos of my own childhood, so I realize the importance and incredible value in documenting memories for your children, and THEIR children. It is timeless and as creators we spend SO much time perfecting our art - believe that I take pride in what I do. Let’s document your steps along this beautiful journey 💛

I actually can see this place from my home, but I have never been there before. Damn that was a beautiful first time.
Jura you definitely surprised me.

Every year dozens of people have to be rescued out of the river because of their irresponsible actions and every year bodies are pulled out of the river thanks to @kern_valley_search_and_rescue, @kernsheriff and @kern_county_fire who put in tens of thousands of hours of resources to put their lives on the line to rescue individuals who have zero regard for safety. Jumping in the river like this with no life jacket and in a section of rapids is extremely dangerous and not recommended. Please wear your life jacket at all times.
We all have the wild in our hearts, deep down inside.🙏💚🌱💚🙏 I guess that's the magic of the Camino. Eat, sleep, walk, and repeat helps to open and clear our hearts to find the magical in.the mundane. The simple joy of living.🙏💚🙏 Joy. You can't put a price on it.
That's why I love to call the Road to Santiago the Wild Camino. A long distance walk to open our hearts and free the wild held inside.🙏💚🌱💚 👣💚👣 Check out my book, The Adventures of a Wild Woman on the Camino de Santiago.

It’s been one year (368 days, but who’s counting🙄) since I last posted on the gram. I supposed that’s what happens when life happens. In the last year I built my own house, adopted the sweetest puppy (Sperry!), skied my heart out this winter, and now we’ve been biking the spring away. Some people seem to share their entire life on Instagram (is it social media or personal media..🤔). For me, I enjoy photography as a hobby and sharing my photos with others to view, with the hopes of maybe even inspiring others to get out and explore, and that’s simply it.
I haven’t touched my camera in over 18 months (sad face). So I’m looking forward to getting back behind the lens and hopefully sharing more images. Here’s the first, taken in my favorite place in the word, GNP.

I was hoping to stand on the summit of Alpamayo this year but I got an email this weekend that my flight is cancelled. Not super suprising but it still hurts knowing that my big adventure for this year won't happen.
I'm sure that I'll come up with another plan for the summer but it won't stop me from dreaming about coming back to the bigger mountains again. ❤️
