If you want to change your life look at your daily habits and routines.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Genuinely ask yourself: are these daily “doings” bringing me joy and health or suffering? Then, make precise changes according to these answers. Take on the perspective of a scientist for a moment and let your observations inform you on what adjustments and shifts you want to make.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫. [Read that again]. If you want to feel solid within yourself, confident, centered, healthy, happy and at peace, get really scientifically nerdy about your daily habits and routines. Call on your inner-wisdom to guide you in following through on what it is you know you need to do. Let your days and weeks become an inner-laboratory for real happiness and change.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
May you access your place of power today and rejoice in the opportunity to find true freedom from what you choose to do every single day. XO, Amanda⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Crying, sweating, sleepless nights, throat closing up, living in a dream like state from meds since Monday. Not being able to drive or even ride my bike without having a panic attack. So unfortunately this time, its won. I have been caught in the web of aniexty and depression. I am crying writing this as it's been so difficult not being able to do day to day things. Or be 100% functional around my children, missed important interviews and not being able to train towards my goals. It seems to have come on so suddenly and quickly. It was a build up of emotions from the past few months that I just put the middle finger up to and moved on. Sometimes even strong people need a hug and to take a break. So atm focusing on my mind and in full repair mode. This isn't a post for you to feel sorry for me this is just to let you know you're not alone and even those that look like they have it all figured out they don't. Social media only displays a highlight reel.... #onthemend#lifecantakeabackseat
Is anyone unsure how it’s September already😱 ? This month has absolutely flown by and my biggest accomplishment this year was moving to California 🌴 , becoming a LVFT Athlete 🖤 , and having a tremendous first year in business. The challenges I’m still working on are balance and technology. Balance with work and personal life, and posting consistently on YOUTUBE 📺 .
In the year’s final quarter, I am determined to find a work/life balance that allows me to consistently post on YOUTUBE at least 1x a week as well as internally feel like I have "BALANCE".
What about you? Spill it, friend!
Current weight for those keeping up with my after Bali journey: 141 lbs (down 7 lbs in two days - water weight) feeling much better being less bloated! Trying to stay around 135-138 for building season :)
You can master the chaos in you. You are not thrown into the fire. You ARE the FIRE🔥🙏🏼 Du bist die Herrin deiner Gedanken und Gefühle.

It is through the struggle that your true selves will appear...the shining, multifaceted and magnificent being that you are. In the moment, this can be difficult to see and appreciate. But beyond the struggles your truth is revealed. A light so bright and brilliant it cannot be ignored. The path, the Dharma for your life becomes as clear as the sun.

I asked some important, deep questions the other day.
👉🏼 Has anyone ever: stalked you, used you for sex, called you “crazy”, cheated on you, abused you, told you that you would never find anyone better than them.
The answer? 90% YES / 10% NO
wow. Thats a lot of yes answers. I wont lie, i was surprised at first. I thought, no way - did they read the question wrong? But then i came back to reality and realized that nah, this is “normal”. Unfortunately, in the world we live in today, this is common. And its sad. It really is sad. I then asked a series of other questions (shown above). Reading the answers, i have a few things to say.
✨ i’m sorry you were stripped down so thin that you believed those bad words that were said.
✨ i’m sorry you were made to believe you deserved it.
✨ i’m glad you told someone about it. And if you haven’t, I’m hear to listen. You can tell me. Telling someone can really help with the healing process.
✨ you deserve to be believed & i will believe you. I do believe you. And if the ones you told did believe you, good - those are some good people you have.
✨ seeking therapy because of what happened is not a bad thing. Therapy is such a great thing & it can really help. If you have sought therapy because of it - I’m proud of you.
✨ i’m glad you are finally able to realize you didn’t deserve it.
✨ i’m sorry you felt you had to keep that person in your life for a while after they hurt you. Know that if that ever happens again, you are allowed to leave.
✨ i’m sorry you went through such a traumatic experience that you now have to deal with anxiety, depression or ptsd. Know that there are ways to manage the bad days. You are not alone.
✨ i’m sorry you didn’t feel able to contact the police about the situation you were in. Please know you are not a nuisance. Fight for yourself & allow others to help fight for you.
✨ i’m proud of you for getting that person out of your life now. If they aren’t out of your life yet, thats okay. But know you can do it. They don’t belong in your life. You deserve better.
✨ i’m so glad you are safe. If you are not safe, reach out. You deserve to be safe.
✨ fearing that person is normal. Don’t feel bad for it.

AWARENESS is one of the most important keys to living an illuminated life. Using POWERFUL QUESTIONS can help identify patterns that aren’t necessarily positive, healthy, or constructive. Spend time exploring your answers to the powerful questions I post here. Use the questions to assess your current state and then your desired state. This level of awareness can illuminate for you, the steps needed to get to where you would like to be. Let me know if you need additional support. I am always happy to help process your thoughts.
What are you allowing to colonize you? Which technology are you allowing to manipulate you?

Five and a half years ago, I wrote 32 Tribble-inspired Nursery Rhymes for #NationalPoetryMonth . And while I had originally intended to write a Pushkin sonnet for every single episode of Star Trek TAS to help get me back into the groove at ThePenroseTrekkie.com, I’ve never intended to write anything But Nursery Rhymes for any and all episodes involving tribbles.
So I’m instead of a sonnet for the first post in October (More Troubles, More Tribbles), I’m making a tiny book of Nursery Rhymes. A book I will add to as soon as I’m done with the TAS sonnets for their 50th anniversary publishing dates 4 years from now.
But I’m having the darndest time naming the dang thing. Please comment below what name you like best from the list above while I work on putting the PDF together.
💲INVEST IN YOURSELF💲
How do you take your journey to the next level without feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsure about your future?🤔🤔🤔
We all go through this regardless if we just started or we've been doing this for years.
The simple answer to this is to Fall in Love with Taking Care of Yourself. ♥️
What this means is to use your resources to Invest In Yourself.
Remember, money will always cycle. It comes and goes. By putting your focus on money, it only becomes a distraction.
What we need to focus on is Time. 🕐 Time can never be replaced. It does not come and go and replenish. Once we lose it, it is gone forever.
So if you are so worried about not being at the level you wanted to be at, then it's time to love yourself and invest in YOU!!! 🙏
Make it happen and take the risks. Otherwise, you'll be sitting on the sidelines with the others who only complain, feel sorry for themselves, and is still in the same place they were a year ago. 👊

"Don't go with the flow, be the flow"
Acceptance is an integral part of mindfulness practice. We don't have to accept our flaws and shortcomings and let them lie idle. When can accept them and surpass them without stressing over the outcome.
I've always wanted to fit in and I never have. I'm not like everyone else but that's OK😊. It actually feels very liberating to be able to show myself for who I am. It's almost a relief! Don't get me wrong, it's been very hard. If you watch my video's 🎥 I think it's there for all to see, that I am slowly getting more confident. For years, I tried to suppress who I was and be how I though others wanted me to be.
I am learning not to hide myself away, but celebrate the fact I'm not the same as everyone else! Let's celebrate our individuality, after all, isn't that what makes us all interesting!
Not too bad a view from my 'office' here on #oslobåden 🚢😍

[NEW CLASS 🚨 ] Do you find it hard to embrace the “slow”? I made a yoga class for you 💕
It’s a physical practice that’s slow, yet still a little fast 😉
For the most part of my life, I’ve cringed at the sound of ‘slow’. It was another word for ‘patience’ and I’ve never seemed to see eye-to-eye with patience.
It’s only been until this year that I’ve really been pushed into embracing things at a slow pace. Eating slowly, planning ahead, moving without rush.
But what’s been the most surprising? It’s brought with it a sense of appreciation for every little thing - sound, touch, breath, you name it.
This 🧘♀️ class is but a taste of what dialling your pace down can offer you.
Take 20-minutes and let’s move together! Access via link in bio 📲
How about you - do you embrace the slow moments or do you prefer the moment-to-moment, get things done approach? 😄
The other night I wanted to take a bath and watch one of my favorite movies, The Devil wears Prada (hey, no judgement 👏🏼). For some reason it wasn’t available. But it suggested the movie ‘The Intern’ instead 🤷♀️🏼
The movie is about a retired 70 widower, Ben. After retiring from his career he feels like there is no purpose anymore, he goes through the motions without actually feeling alive. He then comes across an ad for a fashion company offering senior citizens an intern position. To say the least he thrives.
I don’t think I could have ever imagined feeling like Ben did, having retired and with that having lost his sense of purpose, sense of belonging - to me retirement always felt like FREEDOM. I vividly remember coming home after the first day of work, having landed this awesome corporate consulting job that was exactly what I was looking for, and asking my mom: how much longer than until I retire? 🙈🙈
In my head I made up this story as to why working in corporate would be awesome. Even when I disliked all of my corporate internships (well except maybe for the one where I was in NYC) but for some reason I told myself that’s because it was always just an internship and not a real job #fail
Well, working the real job didn’t change a lot.
But now? Being my own boss? Working with my own amazing client, I feel you Ben. For the first time do I feel an absolute sense of belonging. A sense of professional fulfillment that I didn’t think was possible before.
Even though this was just another movie. The story moved me so much and I’m thankful that the Prada one wouldn’t play because this was a message that I absolutely needed to hear to be in full gratitude of my current life again 🚀 ❤️
✅ We all deserve to work a job that fulfills us, whether that means being your own boss or working for a great one. And we shouldn’t settle for less either... otherwise retirement can feel like a lifetime away.
Moms tend to feel guilt when practicing self-care. We've been conditioned to believe it's about pampering ourselves. Self-care can be as simple as going for a walk or taking the time to read a book. As moms we generally put others needs before our own, but that’s not necessarily a good thing. We're taught to think it should be episodic but self-care can become a part of our routines and daily rhythm. Finding joy in something that allows you to escape for a moment or enrich yourself, is good for you and your family will benefit too!
The last couple of nights I’ve had very restless sleeps. Isn’t it funny how when we most need our minds to switch off they can decide to go into overdrive. It’s especially annoying when you are actually tired too. I’ve found myself lay away thinking about a hundred different things and trying to problem solve into the early hours. My worries aren’t even that bad in the grand scheme of things but our minds sure do know how to hype things up (so to speak). .
So this morning as the alarm rudely blared out at 5:50am I contemplated skipping the gym (again) because I’ve recently become way less of an early morning person than I was (I blame the season). Anyway, I had a quick little pep talk with myself and hauled ass out of bed and to the gym.
I literally have a feeling of regret right up until I’m outside of the gym (I could have stayed in bed 💭), but once I get in there, I find as I get my body working, my mind starts to relax. It’s nothing new. I know the formula, and the steps that I need to put in place, but it’s just that quite often I forget it. Hopefully tonight I manage to sleep better, if not from the mental therapy of this morning’s workout, then from the physical feeling of being knackered from it at least. 😂 💤
Anyway, that’s just a little reminder to not forget the things you can do to be kind to your mind, whatever they may be for you. ☺️ 🧠 💭 Have a fabulous Thursday! ✨
Trying to control the uncontrollable is a struggle many of us deal with everyday.
Letting go of control goes against what we are taught growing up – to go and make things happen for ourselves.
Whilst that still rings true to a certain extent, we still cannot control a large majority of things that happen in our lives.
Inside our heads is a battleground. It’s the place where constant conflict occurs. Things we thought were going to happen, never did happen.
It’s where our expectations always get the best of us.
When we let these thoughts and ideas to brew in our minds, they will rob us of peace, joy, and ultimately our lives. We will think ourselves into stress, unhappiness and in some cases, mental health problems.
Remembering these two things will serve you well in day to day life.
Meditation is helpful for both of these.
Firstly, it allows you to watch your thoughts without judgement. Not all thoughts are facts as we know. Secondly, regular meditation makes you a calmer, kinder and more compassionate individual, therefore making personal interactions feel a lot more connected.
Learning to control the breath is one of the most powerful (and free!) neurohacks we have for improving concentration, managing stress, developing optimal health, and guiding our spiritual advancement.
Check out the "box breath" technique endorsed by neurohacker Mark Divine, Founder at @sealfit in our podcast archive on the site. Podcast episode is entitled: "Kokoro Training: Neurohacking Practices Of The Elite Forces."
