This Stag I filmed yesterday certainly has some character and good length and mass. The stags are developing nicely this year, they will finish growing their velvet about mid January and harden off and start stripping off their velvet. We start our hunting in February, a great time to get away from the US winter and down to the Southern Hemisphere 🦌
I spent the afternoon at the Josh Thibodeau Helping Hearts Foundation Heart Screening taking photos for their website and having Nathan screened. Happily he is heart healthy! This is a fantastic family and organization. Support them on Amazon Smile and let your holiday spending do some good! #jthhf#heartscreening#graftonhighschool#socialbutterflycreations#moose

M.I.A. MOOSE CH. 4
I TURNED 11 MONTHS OLD!🎉 Can you guys believe how fast we’re all growing up?! Mom says I haven’t really gotten taller lately but boy is my head growing! Happy Birthday to all my fwiends who celebrate around the same time as me too! We’re almost 1!
I’ve been doing a better job at listening AND chewing but I haven’t completely stopped it just yet.. I’m working on it, okay?! I love scouring the kitchen counter for food, wrestling dad, snuggling with mom, going on walks with Grandpa and jumping on every person that walks through da door!
1 moose in a sweater, 16 L of glühwein (only 1 glass spilled on my dog- thanks @rippelel) 2 Gallons of apple cider, 6 Q eggnog, 1/5 Rumplemintz, 1 handle rum (-1 inch) 3 gifted bottles of wine + 1 case of white claw + mystery beer+ mystery meat plate + delicious goodies brought by friends, 6,000 lbs of baked goodies made with love, my hearts too full IM GUNNA EXPLODE. Swipe to see my Lil’ party animal with my friends 🐶 #kriskringleextravaganza#christmasparty#moose

Usually when people rescue a dog they go to a shelter and have no idea where the dog comes from or who for that matter. That wasn’t the case with Moose and I I knew his owner I knew where he lived and I knew what he was put through for the most part. My only regret was not taking action sooner for not standing up for him sooner, for that I am embarrassed. The night that changed it all.. I went over to where Moose lived to hang out with my friend ( not his owner) I asked if I could let Moose out of his crate. So I went to the room Moose was kept in. It was an empty cold room where Moose slept in a crate that was too small for him with no bedding not even the plastic bottom on. He slept on wires.. on the cold hard wood floor. I let him out and sat down on the couch and within a min he crawled on my lap, licked my face and fell asleep. I started to cry. All he wanted was love and affection and he felt so comfortable within that minute he knew he would relax and sleep. He trusted me. That was when I knew I needed to get him out of there even if that meant flipping my world upside down. So I txted his owner asked if he really even wanted Moose because I knew someone who did. His response was “ 400 cash.” I didn’t have it but my bestfriend at the time let me borrow it because she was so sadden by Moose condition. He didn’t a fuck about him. So we went and waiting for 3 hours until about 2 am waiting for this guy to come back into town so I could get him.I gave him his cash and we never looked back. Moose now sleeps WHEREVER he wants whenever he wants because he is no longer living in fear. To think about how far we have come blows my mind. I’ll look at Moose and can’t even imagine putting him through what that guy did. I’m just glad I got him. His loss was my complete gain. #adoptdontshop#pitbulls#pitbullsofinstagram#pitbullsofficial#dogsofinstagram#dog#dogsofohio#dogsofcincy#dogsofcincinnati#buzzfeedanimals#cincinnatipitcrew#moose

It's been nearly a week since the return of Lovey the Moose, with the time being happy and sometimes a bit emotional. Each time Lovey visits after an extended period, I'm left with the inescapable reality that she is getting older. I believe this is why Lovey had just one calf this spring. Knowing that Lovey will leave this wilderness one day and never return, sometimes fills my heart with such sadness that when seeing her I cannot keep my feelings restrained. This is a still from a video I made with Lovey. After starting it, the relief was so great that without thinking I buried my face into Lovey's neck as my eyes filled with tears. As I did she was purring like a cat and in complete harmony with my sentiments. Many may not realize or believe this, but Lovey could feel my love for her and through her body energy I could feel hers too. Her calf was resting about 30 meters away and it was the first time we could be close to each other in many months. Warm weather has melted much of the recent snow making it easier to find food again, and so far this has been an excellent winter for the calfs survival. My last post brought such a multitude of thoughtful comments that I could scarcely believe it. Please be assured of my unceasing gratitude for your kindness, generosity and understanding. My situation with Lovey is very unique and took a lifetime to build. Please never approach a moose in the wild for it can be extremely dangerous. Happy Sunday from Alaska! 🤗
