When I started to write a caption I realized that I’m writing to you:
I was there before. With you. You showed me it. You told me all about it. And I felt it, I was also there. With you.
And then, when I finally really stood up there, on that sunny morning, the experience was completed. Although you couldn't stand with me there on that morning, you were with me.
My legs were on the ground, like roots of a tree, and my hands were reaching out like branches of that tree, and as the sun was caressing my face, I closed my eyes, smelled the air, and then I realized: you were right. It is ENLIGHTMENT.

Back in the day our gym (back when we we were SPMA) was invited to go on the NRL Footy Show in 2007.
Chief Instructor Elvis Sinosic did a segment on the "grapple tackle". Big news at the time with NRL clubs just starting to bring in wrestling coaches. At the time there was a lot of controversy around the Melbourne storm using grappling tactics to slow down play and as a result their opponents were getting injured.
It was a great insight into the effectiveness of grappling in other sports. Nowdays all major football teams have a grappling/wrestling coach.
Amidst the crude tribalism and blatant (plus frequently violent) racism that’s being inspired and condoned by this current administration, may the names; Addie Mae Collins, Carol Denise McNair, Carole Robertson, and Cynthia Diane Wesley be forever engrained in our national memory on this the 56th anniversary of the inexplicably horrific bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL. #neverforget

9/11/19: I had the privilege of setting two flags to half-staff today. This a display to remember lost citizens. Fallen heros. Everyday employees, working to provide for their families; and first responders, rushing headfirst into danger, knowing it might be the last thing they do. -
I was eight years old, and woke up to my parents talking and calling loved ones. It seemed like the footage played over a thousand times on TV. And I was glued to it. The explosions, screams, panic, and general confusion were unforgettable. But I also can't forget how America came together in community, in seeking solace with Christ amongst terrible times. I'm saddened that 18 years later, many hearts are hard towards the Lord and towards patriotism. But those are the very things that this nation was founded on, and what holds this nation together.
Annette Garnerus was born on August 10, 1889 in Plantlünne near Lingen. Her father was the Protestant pastor, Justus Garnerus, the mother Cornelia Garnerus, nee Voget. The couple had several children. Annette Garnerus is described as a small petite person, with friendly, lively behavior. She was unmarried and practiced the profession of a missionary teacher. Since 1914 she lived in the US, where she fell ill in Los Angeles in 1925/26 and spent a year in a naval hospital on Long Island. From there she came to Osnabrück and lived with her family for a short time. Her father, in the meantime, had retired. On February 19, 1927 at the age of 38, Annette Garnerus was taken to the Provinzial health and nursing home Osnabrück. She suffered from religious delusions, was very restless, considered herself a Jewess. She escaped from the asylum on July 27, 1928, but was picked up a day later in Lengerich. In 1934, she was transferred to another ward. The next three years, the assessment of her condition by doctors and nurses hardly changed: Annette Garnerus was described as mostly friendly and accommodating, sometimes "funny", thereby as "productive" and "diligent". From 1937, however, the entries of the medical file come to a changed and much worse assessment of her condition. The last very negative assessment of April 15, 1941 served as a reason for her subsequent murder. On April 24, 1941, she was transferred to the Eichberg Institute. A few weeks later on June 10, 1941, Annette Garnerus was deported to the Hadamar killing center. Because the capacity of the gas chamber in Hadamar was limited, the murder action of more than 100 people took two days. Therefore, it is no longer possible to determine whether she was murdered on June 10 or 11, 1941. Annette Garnerus died at the age of 52.
When you gave your everything to safeguard this nation, we watched in awe. When you flew so many times to defend the honour of our motherland,we watched in awe.
Our present & future generations, will always be in awe of your glorious life.

i cant believe it.. it’s been literally one year since laurex broke up. they’ve been so much for me the past year. they made so much people laugh and smile. today marks the day when they uploaded an heart breaking video for all the fans. alex and Lauren individuals.. they made me laugh with a 10 minute video every day they upload. laurex had so much journey together and we can all tell they truly enjoyed the 3 years they had together. When we had a bad day, they always brightened our feelings with their video. it’s just heart breaking knowing the fact that we’re loosing faith on them coming back every day is just sad. they shared so much with each other and that will never be forgotten. just remember even though they broke up the positivity behind them is endless and they will never stop making you smile individually
thank you Laurex for being my vitamin every single day. ----------

E eu tipo… ‘O quê?’’ Comecei a pirar…
