The Fashion industry cannot just be turned off, it is an employer of over 890000 in the UK, we need to work together, pragmatically to build solutions and create policy that will improve sustainability, eradicate human rights violations and child labour whilst protecting those employed by the industry, in particular in manufacturing where they are most vulnerable to mistreatment. .

_______________-------------- #libya#libyan#libyastyle#moscow#berlin#benghazi#tropoli #ليبيا#بنغازي#طرابلس#ليبيين#war#world#warsaw#USA#michigan#California#newyork#verse#verseoftheday#photo#policy#photooftheday#Italy#irag#dzayer

We need to stop inviting women & youth to the table and instead REDESIGN the table for inclusivity!
Also need to remember indigenous and religious leaders in order to integrate sustainable peace on the ground and at the international level.
Lets not just get caught up in filtering fake news but also invest in community based peacebuilding dialogue #travelwithapurpose #2019moments of a #tauruswoman

1) #every health insurance not covered #critical#Illness
2) those #plans who covers the critical Illness those plans will #not covered on the very first #day ,
It doesn't matter you have the critical Illness rider or not,
3) if you are 200% healthy as per your medical examination reports while you are buying the #healthinsurance in this case health insurance company is liable to pay your #hospital#bills as per #policy terms and conditions,
4) but you have to wait for 120days in terms of critical Illness claim because 90days is normal waiting period ,then 30days is survival period ..... If you take critical Illness rider of any company with your health insurance policy point no #4 will applicable for all Approx.

We are getting close to #election day which is November 5th, 2019.
Early voting starts October 16th through November 1st.
As an #artist , #activist , and #entrepreneur I never saw myself involved in the #political sphere. At least not directly. I was on the board of directors for the Cape Fear Economic Development Council, essentially a policy writing board. I saw politics as a place where things didn't get done. Why would I want to be there? It isn't until recently I realized that that is a problem in and of itself, and one I'm willing to take on solving.
My role as #mayor of #Wilmington North Carolina will be to act as a representative, capable of compassionately understanding the needs of my constituents and comprehending municipal code well enough to turn those needs into #policy . This is what I intend to provide my city.
Justin TruDOH!! Just got #StoryOfAdidon 'd by #Time magazine...
😂😂😂 That is the #SunnyWays , uber progressive, white supremacy fighting #feminist himself on your right... 😂😂😂 are you surprised? He has since apologized and admitted he dressed in #Blackface and sang Day-O in high school as well 😂😂😂 you couldn't make this stuff up... That's the situation... It has nothing to do with policy, and it's old... but it is #RedMeat for media and opposition... and it's real.
Today marks a historical moment and also signifies the strength of the Womxn's movement in South Africa.
The National Assembly and National Council of Provinces sat in a joint sitting to discuss approaches in which Gender Based Violence and Femicide can be addressed in this country. This is a historical moment as this is the first seating of this nature in South Africa.
This historical moment definitely speaks magnitudes about the role of the Womxn's movement in holding institutions of power accountable for their failure in addressing socioeconomic and political conditions that leave Womxn, children and vulnerable people in positions of subjugation.
As Black Womxn Caucus we welcome this sitting and are certain that those who have the opportunity to speak on behalf of the womxn in this country will ensure that tangible solutions with effective timelines and budgets will be the outcome of this historic moment.
Halala to the Womxn's movement of South Africa Halala.
In Pictures: The #SandtonShutdown demands taken to the JSE. Join us for the next few days as we recap on some of the work and the moments that helped contribute to ensuring that Gender Based Violence starts being addressed with the urgency it deserves. This is only the beginning. Let's continue to hold each other accountable and continue to learn ways to dismantle the systems that allow for Gender Based Violence and other forms of harm to continue.

Earlier today I posted on Facebook and Twitter about the murders of black trans teen/woman Bailey Reeves (17) and Bee Love (21) *swipe left* We can hash-tag and post about saving black trans women all day long; but if we don’t address the lack of housing, employment, mental health services/healthcare, social support and our vulnerability to chronic incarceration, sexual assault, intimate partner violence, survival sex work, substance abuse, and other socio-economic disparities we experience in concert with racism, sexism, and transphobia—it’s nothing but hot air. Don’t tell us how important you think our lives are; SHOW us. Speak UP for us. Invest in us. Trust us when we tell you what we need—instead of gaslighting us. Be kind, gentle, loving and patient with us; because PTSD is a lot more complex in real time. Respect our humanity and defend our dignity—even when our truths fall outside of the stringent, social construct of respectability. Many times these girls being murdered are the ones that people have rolled their eyes at, laughed at, demonized, and judged beyond measure. So many people have a tendency to romanticize our murders and fall in love with the “martyr narrative” instead of interrogating the ways in which they have interacted or refused to interact with us while we are living. There are no innocent bystanders. There are those who intervene and those who enable. Which one are you? 👤

So far 2019 has seen just over 1200 cases of measles in the United States, which according to the CDC, is the most since 1992 - and it's only August. Measles can lead to serious complications. Roughly 25% of patients need hospitalisation and roughly 0.1-0.2% of cases sadly lead to a loss of life.
The return of measles is particularly shocking given that the disease was officially declared eliminated in the US in 2000, mostly thanks to the effectiveness of vaccines and other control measures that were first introduced in the 1960s. It's not just the US though, the UK just lost its measles-free status and cases have also been increasing in Europe.
So is this all just because of the anti-vaccine movement? It's hard to pinpoint for sure, but one line from the CDC report is pretty damning: "The majority of cases are among people who were not vaccinated against measles". #VaccinesWork 💉
