Growing up, throughout my school days, I was constantly spellbound by the Malaysia Tourism ads with the jingle of Malaysia Truly Asia. Visiting the mesmerizing Petronas Twin towers was always a wish for me. As time passed & life happened, I forgot about Malaysia & the twin towers. One fine day in January 2018, I was casually browsing YouTube and stumbled upon the vlogs of @varunvagish wherein he was traveling to Malaysia on a very tight budget. Then came @navankurchaudhary and many more travel vloggers followed. Same day I decided to go on a Solo Trip to Malaysia & especially visit the Petronas Twin Towers. Here I am on 18th March 2018, all packed up and geared for my first solo international trip to one of the top destinations in my bucket list. I guess you can judge my happiness from the smile on my face. All that had to be done in a meagre budget of ₹20000/- for 8 days including stay, flights, visa, food everything. Want to know how I did it? Follow my journey as I will post every aspect of my trip in detail, straight from the Train ride from Mumbai to Vizag to discovering Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Melaka, and the beautiful Genting Highlands. Also, tried to make some vlogs. The link to my YouTube channel is in the bio! Do Subscribe to my channel
First high place in months. Always exploring alternate perspectives. New norms seem to usher in new discourse. Headlines have changed recently. Consume, educate, but don’t forget to think. It’s important to learn to discern as media literacy isn’t as high as we might be led to think.
For a while now, I have thought about frailty, death, sickness, grief. Then couple days ago the darker sides of diversity came to the forefront. Out of nowhere some men blasted into space. I talked with some friends - hopes and desires were shared. Some of us are working hard, maybe too hard. Some of us have no work at all.
The trees continue growing. Hearts continue to be broken, sewed together, then broken again. Birthdays continue to be celebrated. Tunnel vision is dangerous. Discern, discover, and for the love of humankind, of earth, of one and a trillion species, don’t stop dreaming.
Chasing your dreams is one of the cheesiest things, but also one of the only things holding all this together. Malaysians have dreamed of harmony for ages. It’s achievable. It’s achievable.
This is the city i was born in & where i’ve been living — Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 🇲🇾 Hello to everyone from where you are on this planet. Now more than ever is such a heartbreaking & negative time for everyone in this world we live in, i wish you strength & hope. I pray that there will be no more fear & conflict in this already broken world. Sending love 🖤 things will get better.
