So like depression and world wide trauma has kept me mostly in bed this week. Not gonna lie (although to be fair, I do get a lot done from my bed). But on the upside, I’ve kept up my cooking and just made this from my food box. 😍 so go me. Working night shift tonight. Boom.

The cutest family ever!! fun story, the weather called for thunderstorms and it had been raining lots throughout the day already and I said “it’ll be okay rain isn’t that bad” so I drive out to martensville and the clouds are really making me nervous... we get to the shoot and not ONE drop of rain fell during our session until I drove away, then it down poured the entire drive back home so bad I couldn’t even see where I was driving... if that’s not pure luck idk what is

One of the best things about greyhounds is their looonngg necks- so much room for fashion!
In the name of fashion (and safety!), matching sets of martingales and house collars are very popular. House collars hold your dog's tags and are meant to slip off or break away if your dog gets caught. Martingales tighten when pulled, so it's safest not to leave them on your dog when you're not home. Having 2 collars also allows for double the style!
These 3 custom sets are headed off to a pack of stylish hounds in Edmonton, AB!

My fav way to store my adhesive is in one of our air-tight adhesive storage containers! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Properly storing your adhesive and taking care of it properly will make sure you and your clients have great retention, your adhesive will reach its full shelf life and it will work the way it was designed to!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Improper adhesive storage and care can lead to poor retention, clogged nozzles, ruined adhesive, and application problems!!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Adhesive Care Tips:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Store upright in an air-tight container ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Always clean the nozzle and avoid burping the bottle after dispensing a drop of adhesive⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Only use lint free adhesive wipes ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Store away from chemicals, liquids, or anything with a fume (acetone, remover)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Replace your adhesive 6-8 weeks after opening ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Avoid adhesive being stored in the tip of the nozzle⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This time of the year I feel I should post twenty times a day to record all the wonderful things bursting into existence everywhere! Finnish spring is so short and sudden, everything is happening at once.
Quick something to say about the "babies aren't born racist" posts. I've seen some beautiful posts about this from loving moms, and of course, I agree that children are innocent beings who all play together no matter what color skin they have. But the truth is, we were ALL born into a system that comes ready-made for some of us to thrive more than others. We've all got historical shoes waiting for us to fill them. That's systematic racism and oh my god I can't imagine how exhausting it must be for people of color to work against it. It's not a Black person's job to educate me on their history of oppression. It's not an Indigenous person's job to tell me the last residential school in Canada closed in 1996 (it actually should have been my school's job but, you know, history is written by the oppressors). No. It's MY job as a white mom to educate myself and my children about the real world. Babies aren't born racist, or even "taught" to be racist intentionally. But it takes education for a white person to be anti-racist. It's a verb, and it means actively listening to marginalized voices, voting for leaders who will take action, and using your voice whether that's calling out a family member who makes a comment or going to a rally. It heartens me to have seen so many of you using your voices here in the last week! To the people of color in my feed, I'll never know what you're going through but I will support you. Your life matters. ♥️
For any of you that don’t already know me personally, I am originally from Vancouver🌨⛰. I get asked all the time what brought me to Saskatoon, and to sum it up it was for love 😍 🧀. My husband is from Saskatoon. ❤️You might be wondering how did we meet? Well, we actually met in Orlando at a @surfacehairhealth New Beginnings Conference, from there our paths crossed again at a hair show in Vancouver two months after. ✈️We did long distance for a year and a half, then I took the plunge and moved to Saskatoon. I was nervous and scared to move away from my family, my clientele and everything that was normal to me. Do I regret it? Not at all! Being in Saskatoon has taught me so much about myself. Saskatoon is where our family grew from two to four. 👨👩👧👦⠀⠀
It’s so hard to believe that, that was 9 years ago. Wow does time fly! It makes me smile to think about where I was then, and the journey that has brought me here. I truly believe that I am exactly where I need to be at this moment but I am also so excited for the new adventures to come. 💕
