From me to you, It is very important for you to take care of yourself, not just your looks but holistically so because you matter in every aspect.
No matter the situation or circumstance it important to take steps to healing because your mental wellbeing , emotional wellbeing, social wellbeing , spiritual wellbeing amounst many other needs you may have as an individual you need to heal so that you can move forward as a person.
MEDITATE, BALANCE YOUR LIFE AND HEAL!!! Feeding the flesh continuously causes the flesh to grow , but feeding the spirit causes the spirit and soul to connect and grow.
FOCUS ON YOURSELF SO THAT YOU MAY FLOURISH AND TAKE IT EACH DAY ONE STEP AT A TIME, THERE IS NO RUSH. 👑
Full moons are times to let go, especially as this is the last full moon of 2019! Release everything you don't want to bring into 2020. With Gemini, we are asked to pay attention to our minds, beliefs, thinking, and self-talk. This is a great time to transmute all that from negative to positive. We create our realities, and we are the ones who are always with ourselves... so might as well talk kindly to ourselves and believe in ourselves!
Another reminder for this time is to STAY FOCUSED. Don't scatter your energy. Yes, there is a lot to learn, a lot to experience, but now is the time to really value your mental and emotional energy. A great practice for this time would be meditation and stillness.
Here’s a story. A story of a couple who is arguing over some shit. They both have a valid point. They FEEL their point. It’s a solid point. And they both want to drive it home. And in being wrapped up in that, they’re not hearing each other. Until one does. And oh Shit, their partners point is valid af. You were kind of being a douchebag this morning and taking your shit out on your partner. Damn. So you own it. You say, you’re so right, I’m really sorry. You don’t deserve that. I was acting that way because really, I’m so stressed with this move we’re going through and i don’t know how to handle it. Your partners like...!? How do I argue that? Homie just OWNED that and to be honest, your partner has the same stress as you do. And you begin to hear THEM out too and realizing you were kind of a douche bag too, and you apologize too and own your Shit. So then you sit and talk about what’s underneath — the stress and fear of moving — and you open up dialogue and hear each other out. Then afterwards, you get this amazing feeling — that this hard conversation brought you CLOSER. and you add a few more bricks to the relationship foundation you’re building TOGETHER. but what happens if neither takes ownership, or one does and the other can’t? You can’t get to the other side. Can’t lay the bricks down. Can’t be heard or understood. So you shut down, and space and drift begins to replace closeness and intimacy. And instead of building bricks, resentment comes in like a bulldozer, breaking down what foundation you’ve built. So friends, it’s okay to suck. It’s okay to admit you suck. You can suck and still be loved. It’ll actually bring you CLOSER. try it and see what happens. Love you 🌻Michelle
There's a long deep breath out that comes after show prep/opening night. The studio is a little emptier, the schedule a little less chaotic, ideas flow a little bit differently.
These moments are just as precious as the late-night rush to finish everything. This energy (though slower) is just as important to my work as the flurry of paint and activity from weeks prior.
As a younger artist this moment of stillness used to frighten me. I *needed* to be working on the next project, I *needed* to be diving headfirst into the preparation for the next show. It wasn't a healthy balance.
The Wu Ji posture is one of the fundamental principles of both Qigong and Tai Chi, and is a very simple practice. This practice helps to alleviate stress off the joints, especially the low back, and allows for the energy/blood to flow throughout the body uninterrupted without impediment.
“You don’t look like you just had a baby” people keep telling me... but what does a woman who just had a baby look like? This is how I look. While I know these remarks are meant as compliments they motivated me to think deeply about the pressure we put on ourselves m post-baby to “bounce back” and look@a certain way. This is just how my body looks right now and inspired by @sassyredlipstick recent postpartum post I am rejecting the concept of bouncing back and embracing that my body will never be the same. Yes I am fitting in pre-pregnancy jeans 2 weeks postpartum, yes I have 23lbs of the 43 I gained still to lose and yes I went to eat healthier but I have no timeline for my healing. Whatever your body looks like after birth remember you are unique and beautiful just as you are and you brought a fricking child into this world. Your body did that! Never forget how badass you are! #postpartumbody#postpartumjourney#selfcare#bodypositivity#breastcancersurvivor#newmom
this pic is fake news ✌🏻

tonight i'll be going to my second yoga of this week. one of my goals for this year was to get into yoga and add it to my routine because yoga is amazing for you! you gain so much strength and mobility and it even helps you learn to breath with your movements.
unfortunately i only was consistent for about 2 months but i'm making it a point to add it in for good this time! i already feel a difference and that makes me really excited 🥰
if all goes well, i'll back under the bar tomorrow 💪🏻 slow and steady but i'm HYPED.
How to avoid losing your sh*t over the holidays from a yogic & energetic perspective 👇
➡️ when you notice your thoughts racing or emotions bubbling over STOP 🛑 ...breathe. Seriously, seems simple but not always easy. Pause 🤚 focus on where your breath travels in your body. Feel the movement in your belly, ribcage, and collarbones.
➡️ set healthy boundaries with your family and friends. It's OK to say no! I promise, the world won't fall apart 😘
➡️ take time for rest and relaxation. Meditation, savasana, legs-up-the-wall are all life savers on stressful days 🙌🎉 ...give your vinyasa practice a more nurturing vibe 🕉
I've been making a point of highlighting these tips in my own life and I've got to say, it is magical 🧚♀️💓
What's been helping you keep your sanity to get you through to the new year? 👇

FAQ: I don’t know how to swim or float, can I still do float therapy? YES! The high concentration of Epsom salt allows you to float effortlessly on top of the water. ☺️ Just sit down, lay back, relax, and enjoy the float! 🙌🏼💧❤️

Kerrie & Mark, I'm Kelly and I'm lucky to call the beautiful Eastern Townships of Quebec home. Aside from books, I enjoy hockey, baking & gardening. I'm just a small town girl who has lived in 3 major Canadian cities. I studied psychology & behavioural science but have been contemplating a masters in Library Sciences. I couldn't pass up the chance to enter your #sweetreadsboxrepsearch .
I absolutely 💕 everything about @sweetreadsbox! I've been a fan from the get go and cannot hide my excitement at seeing what's in the box each month. The boxes are always perfectly curated, and an excellent way to indulge in a little me time. When a box shows up at my door, I am definitely like a kid on Christmas morning. I gifted myself the July box and spent my entire hour long lunch opening and admiring it 🤣
As a passionate 🇨🇦, booklover, and self-care enthusiast, @sweetreads aligns perfectly with my values. It would be the greatest honour to be one of your reps. For me, snail mail will always remain one of life's simplilest pleasures.
There have been many amazing boxes, but my favourites include Nov 17 (The Nightingale), Aug 18 (The Lost Diaries of Susanna Moodie), Feb 19 (The Gown), & Aug 19 (Ask Again, Yes). The Gown & The Nightingale have been two of my favourite reads in 2019!
5 things about me as a reader:
📚 I've discovered I'm a mood reader. I'm learning to go where my mood takes me.
📚 I am a book-a-week reader. I've found that 52 books a year is what works for me.
📚 I've come to learn reading & collecting books are two different hobbies. There is just something about being surrounded by books.
📚 75% of my books are used. I consider myself to be eco-aware and so this helps cut down on the environmental impact.
📚 Reading is one constant in my life. There have been many ups and downs, with anxiety sometimes getting the best of me, but books are my calm, my happy place, where I find my center again. For this reason, I always make sure to have a book with me.
Wednesdays are Cleanse Days for me!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 .
As I’ve taken the time to learn about the great benefits of nutritionally supported intermittent fasting, and applied it in my life, I’ve come to love what it’s doing for me as far as my health, energy levels, and mental clarity. ✨
Let’s start out by explaining why Cleanse Days can be so beneficial!!! There’s several reasons why many people practice IF. It’s a practice that has been around for centuries for both physical and spiritual reasons. However, in recent years it’s become an increasingly popular strategy for achieving health and weight loss goals.
There’s lots of scientific research that identifies the great advantages. And for that, it has been a core component of the Isagenix system for the past 17 years! .
We use a nourishing approach that supports the detoxification pathways in cells that naturally occurs during IF. This is why we call them Cleanse Days. It is a cellular detoxification, not a digestive one.
Here are some scientifically proven benefits from Intermittent Fasting:
🍀 Weight loss from both fat loss and water retention
🍀 Enhances cognitive performance
🍀 Lowers Insulin
🍀 Increases Human Growth Hormone
🍀 Promotes the release of BDNF a key hormone for growing new brain cells
🍀 Detoxifies by removing toxins released by fat stores and dead blood cells

Self Care do you make it a priority? I am going to be real honest I did not make it a priority as much this year. It can look and feel very different for all of us. This is the busiest season for me in the salon, in my business, and at home. I can often feel that I give and give and give. I know I am not alone. Stylist work so hard and I see you all doing what you love and serving your family at the end of it all. -
My goal for 2020 is to take more time for myself to fill the cup and keep my mind and body working strong. I see massages in my future, physical therapy, and alone time on a beach (awe a beach, the waves 🌊 , wind, and sun ☀️) haha maybe not the beach but you get the picture. I am encouraging you to do the same. -
For now I am holding on to all the small things I am so grateful for during this crazy season.
✨Gods grace ✨Essential Oils ✨Early Morning workouts ✨Water and healthy food (balanced with a treat or two) ✨Supportive Husband ✨My kids who keep the spirit of the holiday season so alive. -
Cheering you on! Now drop your fave oil in your hand and deep breaths in... we got this!
Everything is energy. Match the frequency of the energy you want to attract. Negativity / low vibrations can only effect you if you're on the same frequency. You'll feel so much better when you don't absorb the frequencies around you. - Vibrate higher & own it, create some magic ✨
