Here is to staying fit and well during this crazy time of the world. The live music still proves to go on strong with webcam gigs and Q&A ect, all a special way to still connect with the people who enjoy listening to your work. Not quite like the live environment, where we're all not having enough of, and getting to be among those like minded listeners. The last gig I had gone to days before things started hitting the fan. Unfortunately the support from Italy had dropped and the tour had to cut the rest of it's 12 shows. Fen played a longer set and casually covered up with a jam to whatever tech problems that had occured, and kept going.. 🤘🏻
👨🚀 #COVID19#EmCasaComAE

Hvala vsem, ki ta trenutek nesebično skrbijo za naše zdravje, zdravje najbolj ogroženih, naše osnovne potrebe in naše varno okolje. To so zdravniki, celotno medicinsko osebje in farmacevti. Bodimo hvaležni in stopimo skupaj. 💛🙏

I woke up this morning and decided to put the last of my fading productivity into doing something good for the community. I have made this print to purchase via my Etsy page (link in bio) and will be donating 60% of each purchase to the NHS Charities COVID-19 Urgent Appeal. The print itself is inspired by the quiet of the streets from my daily exercise, and a reminder of the all the hard work that we are all doing to stay home and stay safe. I hope everyone is healthy and happy and I can’t wait to see everyone once this is over. But for now please stay home and help support the amazing work of our incredible NHS 💙 #nhs#stayhome#stayhomestaysafe#wecandothis#art#isolationcreation
While we #stayhome for the coming weeks, we wanted to share some board games with you to help pass the time: and of course, they are all map related! So join us over the next few weeks while we play... Edward Wallis' "Game Map of the Star-Spangled Banner" published in London c1842.
This scarce and beautiful instructional game of America appears on the frontispiece of F.R.B. Whitehouse's publication "Tabel Games of Georgian and Victorian Days." This game was to be played as a lotto, each player moving around the finely detailed map which is crowded with vignettes of American life and wildlife. 'It is probably the earliest game to utilise a map of the United States' (Whitehouse). The game aimed to teach an English audience about the United States, some of the descriptions in the rule book must have astounded the young players, with the entry on Arkansas restricted to the "lynch law", and a number of references to slavery including, "The slave-holders of the southern states are extensively supplied from the markets of Virginia, where negroes are reared for the purpose of sale and traffic... the last taint of negro blood subjects an individual to this degraded condition". Some of the descriptions of American Wildlife too, must have been alarming, such as that of the Turkey Buzzard, "this bird feeds on carrion, and if attempted to be taken, vomits the contents of its stomach in the face of its pursuer, emitting the most intolerable stench"; and the Grizzly Bear, "The largest and fiercest animal on this continent. His very name is dreadful, as his disposition is bloodthirsty". #americana#gamemaps#tablegames#playinggames#rollthedice#lotto#americanmap#wildlife#americanhistory#library#playagame#raremaps#mapcollector#stayinghome

This week we are delivering Good Friday and Saturday and the shop will be open both days as per our new hours. We will however be closed for deliveries and at the shop on Sunday and Monday due to the Easter weekend.
Please remember you need to get your orders in before midday for next day delivery. Your order then will be picked the next morning and will not be with you until late afternoon - our drivers collect from us from 2pm so it will be at some point after then, we cannot unfortunately give you a smaller delivery window.
Remember to stay safe, stay home and keep ordering online.
Meet Peter Rabbit! A cute little bunny I'm fostering. My nephew's a vet and someone dropped this guy at the clinic saying he'd been abandoned. They'd been trying to find him a new home for a couple of months now. He didn't want him to be in a cage any longer so we're now fostering him! He's very sweet and sociable and loves to be cuddled! Isn't he a cutie?! 🐰💙
We’d like to give a shoutout to our friend @jessicajensennagle who was so concerned about the lack of PPEs available to frontline health care workers that she took it upon herself to produce over 200 masks.
Unfortunately due to high demand she was unable to find any elastic cording that helps secure the mask to the head and reached out to @stolenriches to see if we could provide cord in 32” lengths. As luck would have it that is the same length as our dress laces. After countless hours of sewing by Jessica and 400 laces from Stolen Riches, 200 masks were shipped out Friday.
Congrats @jessicajensennagle, you're doing an amazing job 👏 and stay safe everyone !

I left my heart in Sicily. I didn’t expect to adore it as much as I did — to be honest, I had no plan at all. I sold off my furniture, moved out of my apartment, stored the few things I did keep, and flew to an island I have never even read about, let alone knew. It was the best decision I could have possibly made. One and some months in a new “home” could be a major culture shock, but Sicilians are such a warm and welcoming people.
Unfortunately, COVID-19 brought me home (much) too early, but I still had the chance to make amazing memories there, and for that I am so grateful.
Now that I have all of my cherish photos on hand, we’ll be back to regular programming 💛
MONDAY MANTRA 〰️ whatever is happening, whatever is changing, whatever is going or not going according to my plans—i release my hold on all of it. i leave behind who i think i am, who i want to be, what i want the world to be. i come home to the great peace of the present moment
— @elizlesser, from her book Broken Open.
Hi hi hi. 👋🏼 How are you feeling? How are you coping? Are you lonely, grateful, fearful, excited to dive inward, terrified to dive inward?? How is your life being directly or indirectly affected by COVID-19? I want to know all the things. ♥️
I’ve been experiencing a mixed bag of emotions and states, from peaceful and grateful, to nervous and heartbroken. I think it’s okay to feel everything all at once right now. It’s also okay if you have no clue how you feel.
We are being faced with a global trauma and there is no “correct” way to cope. Some people will be super productive and get ahead on projects. Some will hibernate. Others are on the front lines and won’t have time to think. Some will move their bodies and get in the best shape of their life. Some will need stillness to nurture themselves. Some might fall apart, only to be put back together even stronger. Some will turn to art, and create and experience in new ways. Others won’t be able to do anything but take care of their basic survival needs. All of these things are fine. We all must do whatever it is that we need to get through this, and we WILL get through this. Be gentle with yourself, and love in all directions. ♥️e. #stayhome#sip
