Today's image is a little out of the theme of swatches but a texture shot is close enough, I think? Haven't done a skincare post in a hot minute but I really wanted t talk about this phenomenal product by @clinique. Last winter, I had a terrible skin reaction to an SPF. It was the worst skin I had ever experienced in my life. Painful, awful reaction. My skin went on a downhill slope as a result & the winter weather did not aid in it's recovery at all. There was a point when it was so dry from where the wounds were it was flaky, borderline blistering. Nothing I usually used helped. Awful reaction is an understatement. To heal the problem skin itself I used the @freshlycosmetics_uk blue radiance serum and @loreal clay mask (both already reviewed).
However to battle the flaky, blistered, dry, tight skin I needed something more.
Enter, moisture surge. Now, I am not a specialist in skin in any way- I speak from personal experience. However, I can firmly attest from what I saw, this HELPED SO MUCH. My skin was perking up after every use. It was retaining the moisture too. Eventually healing the scars too, I don't know how. But I was here for it 🙌🏻 it's like a winter staple, a drink of water for my skin. The consistency is lovely, gel like so it is super easy to apply. You don't need to use much either so it lasts me ages, also justifies the price- I still got some left. Soon enough I was being told my skin was glowing and I'm certain this contributed to that. Do you use this? What are your thoughts?
Note: this is super for dry/dehydrated skin or any surface issues you have like blisters/flaking as a result. I wouldn't recommend this for normal/oily skin types to be honest. When my skin was back to normal, I found this to be too rich especially during warmer days...it ended up giving me little red bumps.
But for winter...IDEAL. So glad I discovered this gem 🧡
