Forage to table from my trip to New Zealand with @cloudybay To understand a wine, you need to understand where it comes from. And we did just that. We explored the Marlborough region, interacted with the region's producers, and discovered new flavors and pairings. We picked fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden, went fly fishing in the Wairua River, caught river-running salmon, and gathered a direct understanding of Marlborough food and wine. Our harvest was then turned into a beautiful meal by Cloudy Bay's master chef. The warm atmosphere of our shared table, good company, and delectable wine pairing is the essence of the forage and was one of the most magical experiences ever. #comesailaway#cloudybay
Plans for the weekend - sun, swim, chill and repeat.

If you watch long enough, you might see ice forming as your breath and heart rate slows down and your blood begins to thicken, if you watch long enough, you will freeze. Don’t be a watcher, take action, move around, make some noise. Don’t be passive, just watching everyone else’s lives as you scroll through the news feed. Drop a comment, share a thought, interact with ppl, don’t just watch or you’ll freeze to death. 🥶

Always love hearing stories about elephant experiences. These beautiful creatures are sweet and majestic 🐘 ⠀⠀

"What an AMAZING experience hanging out with ellies!!!! We went to the Happy Elephant Home in Chiang Mai to spend a day pampering these beauties who are survivors of the horrific tourism industry. Some of the elephants we met were previously working in circuses and shows, where they were abused into learning tricks like headstands 😞. The others were used for logging & trekking, practices that are very damaging to an elephants spine as they are not meant to carry excess weight on their backs. Now, these guys have plenty of space to roam around, happily eat their sugar cane and watermelon (for 18 hours a day 😳), get bathed in mud, and swim around in the river. We did a lot of research before choosing an elephant sanctuary because many of the ones in Thailand unfortunately do more harm than good. We are thrilled with the experience we had at Happy Elephant Home and recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing & ethical sanctuary. It was incredible to be so close & interactive with them, they are truly the sweetest things 🥺❤️ Be sure to check out our story to see all the highlights from this day (you don’t want to miss them splashing around in the water!) 🥰🐘"
Tiramisu frapp ☕️ coz coffee is life. Since coffee is one of Guatemala’s biggest exports, I had to try it for myself. I started this day seeing the coffee plant and it’s fruit for the first. Then having the freshest coffee at the plantation - which I didn’t really enjoy (it was very strong, with a sour taste). And I ended the day with a more commercialised coffee, which is way more my style. // 📍Antigua, Guatemala

POST: Getting close to nature at Capilano Suspension Bridge
One of my favourite days out whilst staying in Vancouver, British Columbia is the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Now you are probably wondering why a bridge? I will explain but I can assure you that this place isn’t just about a bridge and why it is a fantastic place to visit for everyone, even little children. Here is how my trip planned out when I visited the Capilano Suspension Bridge, to which I have visited twice in the last few years.
@tyler.mckay.photos - The snow when we first got to this waterfall was falling so slowly it felt like a slow motion video, there was no wind and big snow flakes creating this stunning view. #earthoutdoors10k
@v_outdoors - Hoping I get snowy winter conditions like this in Yosemite next weekend! Fingers crossed 🤞🏽 •
FUN FACT: The Mono people were the first settlers of the Mammoth Lakes area, thousands of years ago. They settled in the valley but traveled by foot to other lands when trading with different tribes.
The European history of Mammoth Lakes started in 1877, when four prospectors staked a claim on Mineral Hill, south of the current town, along Old Mammoth Road. In 1878, the Mammoth Mining Company was organized to mine Mineral Hill, which caused a gold rush. By the end of 1878, 1500 people settled in the mining camp called Mammoth City. By 1880, the company had shut down, and by 1888, the population declined to less than 10 people. By the early 1900s, the town of Mammoth was informally established near Mammoth Creek. The economics of the original town was based on logging and tourism. The first post office at Mammoth Lakes opened in 1923. #earthoutdoors10k
