They're pretty romantic animals. Bald eagles tend to pair up for life, and they share parenting duties: The male and the female take turns incubating the eggs, and they both feed their young.
Those romantic partnerships are even more impressive because bald eagles can survive for decades. In 2015, a wild eagle in Henrietta, New York, died at the record age of 38.
In many animal species, males are (on average) larger than females. Male gorillas, for example, dwarf their female counterparts. But for most birds of prey, it's the opposite. Male bald eagles weigh about 25 percent less than females.

Sunset On the Plains. Maasai Mara, Kenya. While we had many fantastic sunrises during my recent safari in the Mara, sunsets were harder to come by. The cloud cover late in the afternoons was generally pretty thick - in fact, it often rained as the day wound to a close. So this particular evening was a welcome reprieve and offered up some spectacular color hitting the clouds. I was able to find this tree with a couple of vultures as a foreground subject and a herd of wildebeest grazing on the plains completed the scene. Canon 5D Mark IV • 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM

Photographing the Musk Oxen in Norway’s Dovrefjell National Park with @tarantinovideo was certainly one of the highlights this year.
Freezing cold, strong winds and magical light.
