What if we started doing, thinking, and saying what we liked instead of editing our opinions and preferences for the sake of others?
Continuing with my weekly travel throwback, I want to be the first to point out that this picture really isn't all that great. The lines are all off and the angle isn't quite right.
But I was happy in that moment of golden hour. I genuinely enjoyed the place for what it was and the way I experienced it. I wasn't really thinking about what someone else would think if and when they saw this picture. I only thought "I'll want to remember this later."
I think we put too much emphasis on perfect impressions and flawless feeds. I think we forget to embrace the miraculous mess of being a human. We too readily dismiss our own intelligence or creativity. Captive to time, we really spend too much of it wondering what others will think.
It's no wonder why all the trail names and landsites around Moab have to do with Hell... It's bloody hot. I have no idea how this lone tree survives inside a cauldren of hot red rock with little to no space for a strong root system, but respect!
HAVANA-OOH-NANA 🎵 I’ve been MIA the past week on an exciting Road Trip adventure... can’t wait to share more soon, but until then - join me on a trip to Cuba TOMORROW and let’s adventure together (virtually of course). Hey, I found a new wall in my building to take selfies in front of! 🤣
On a more serious note, how are you navigating your city reopening? Are you going out more, eating out yet? I’d love to know. I’ve been extra cautious this entire pandemic—I had a congenital heart thing that I had “fixed” as a teenager but how can I be really sure and not sure I want to find out!
This dress is from @theadventuredress, founded by my Kili friend @kytrisha. And I’m now the proud owner of a lot of them in different colors, for all my adventures... from my kitchen, to my desk, and beyond. I rarely buy new clothes, but when I do, they support female artisans in Indonesia, are sustainable, and are wrinkle-free & 100% biodegradable. Not to mention universally flattering. Am I an influencer yet? Get yours at the link in my bio http://bit.ly/theadventuredress for free shipping and use code TIFFANYYU for a discount!

We just launched our new logo and website! We felt like we needed a change in how we approach our work and brand together. Working together is a constant learning experience and we want to execute and create better than either of us have before. We feel like we are moving in the right direction, and evolving together as a team. Keep following, because we’re about to dip into a refreshing rhythm. Plans have been made and we’re getting ready to roll out some amazing shoots. Can’t wait for you to see what we’ve got in store for 2020! Model: @kerrykalu@niyamodels

An entire day spent discovering Hoi An... what a stunning traditional village!! For the first time I found out how to really use these hats (not just for photos)... it protected me from the 40 degrees sun ☀️ the whole day •
I found myself in the paradise lost in nostalgia, Cuba. Ever wonder what it would be like to be transported to a decade you were not even born?🌴
Havana is a place with sultry tropical weather, perfectly preserved vintage cars, fabulous musicians, and mojitos for miles. Lined with shabby, colorful facades, its colonial streets are overflowing with history and infectious salsa rhythms, whereas quirky independent shops and artful cafés are signs that the forbidden island’s time warp capital is slowly finding its way back to the future.
WE NEED YOU! #AdventureAtHome
I’m thinking about each of you during this difficult time. There are many unknowns as we find ourselves in uncharted territories, and my thoughts and prayers go out to each and every one of you.
With your help we’ve been able to create an amazing community filled with passionate travelers. I want to express my gratitude for you and thank you for the trust you place in @acanelaexpeditions to create immersive and impactful experiences around the globe.
I just returned home from abroad where I’ve seen firsthand how COVID-19 is affecting countries and local economies as its spread around the world. It is causing disruption to businesses and everyday life.
Many countries rely on tourism as their main source of income (1 in every 10 jobs is in travel) so you can only imagine the impact this is having - especially in developing nations where people have nothing else to fall back on.
As events continue to unfold, I know that traveling the near-term may not be top-of-mind for you and your loved ones, but as world citizens, we have the power to make a change.
I want to encourage you to #AdventureAtHome and show the world your spirit of exploration, learning, and excitement is still alive. We want to see it, the world wants to see it, and you need it!
This can look like cooking a meal from an exotic country, reading a book that takes you on a journey to a new place, discovering a new talent, redesigning your house to inspire you, exploring the beauty in your backyard, or planning your next BIG Trip In the future - the possibilities are limitless... I will be sharing my journey with you over the course of the next few weeks and I want to follow yours!
