Little house update! Two things we have no regrets about 1: our massive covered outdoor living space (it’s almost as big as the house) 2: our last minute decision to add two skylights in the living room - you can never have too many windows. She got us in contact with this nearby farm where we can work for 4 hours, 1 day a week, and in return we get a weeks worth of fresh produce!! Whaaaaat! 😍😍
We always love farming/gardening. There's nothing quite as rewarding as supplying what you need to fuel yourself without having to rely on someone else, some store, something out of your control. We LOVE it!
There were two things we missed the most while living in a van: 1) Having a garden, and 2) Having an oven - and now we are living the dreammmmm!!
There's something so cool about seeing how our food becomes what it is before we digest it too! Broccoli plants? We ingest like 10% of the plant, and that's not even where all the nutrients are! We always find it super interesting to see what our food looks like in modern society compared to what the entire crop looks like before everything is trimmed and cut off.
It's always amazing to do rewarding work with your hands. To get dirty, be outside, and be able to look at an area and visually see what all you've physically accomplished! Thank you Natalie for referring us to this beautiful place and helping us score some killer experience AND produce!
