This piece is the last coloured pencils piece in the set based on my She Stag dream. Some of you might have already seen this as I posted it in my story awhile ago! This illustration depicts a scene near the end of my dream where I (in She Stag's Monkey form) see a young vervet monkey collapsed on the ground and try to get them to get up and run; as mutant creatures are rampaging through the forest killing the normal animals and they will soon reach us.
Originally this monkey was just a random monkey in the dream, but I ended up making them into a character called Peanut, hence the title. She Stag is in a state of limbo though so I'm not sure if Peanut and some of the other characters I made alongside her are still in the story. (Having said that, I now rather feel like making the end product of She Stag a short film rather than a story...) I really love the colour scheme of this piece and the mark making! This is also the best piece of the She Stag drawings in terms of how close I was able to get the composition to what I originally saw in the dream. I love POV shots and I feel really happy with how I executed this one-especially She Monkey's arms and Peanut's face.
I've also included some close-ups, which feature some of the other normal animals running through the forest and the roar of a mutant in the distance.
In the top left hand corner you can also see the thumbnails for the piece that I drew. I like how the thumbnails and the final piece are on the same page. :) I really enjoied making these She-Stag inspired drawings! From here on the set focuses on some other dreams I've had.
Today is my 34th birthday! My wonderful husband got up at 6am to feed my horses so I could sleep in!😴 My family has been asking what I’ve got planned for today and I just want to do what I love doing, which is to draw! So it’s a day much like any other but with a couple extra hours of sleep.😁 So here’s the start of my wolverine portrait which has been a lot of fun to draw so far. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
HOPE 🇦🇺🌟❤️ #australiaday2020
It’s certainly have been some of the most difficult times for this beautiful place has been facing the last couples of months and is been heartbreaking to witness the loss of billions of wildlife:(:(
yet it’s amazing to see all the firefighters and volunteers who work tirelessly under the circumstances to save those lives affected:)
With my respect and gratitude, this post dedicated to all the precious lives we lost and all the incredible people who strive to keep them live and give us hope ❤️❤️🌟🙏🏻 #hopeforaustralia#loveforaustralia
I’ve been working this piece slowly since I’ve got back from my trip and glad to finish it on this day.

Pardon me for jumping around but that’s literally how my brain is sometimes 🤷🏻♀️ I’ll come back to the jewels on Garnewt, but for now this idea was slamming against my brain and had to be painted immediately. It’s now finished, and I’m getting ready to reveal it, but here’s a quick teaser video 😁🎨
When something tragic happens, people worry, help, but then forget and return to their own stuff. It is important to help enviromental organisations not only when disaster strikes, but also on daily basis. Also remember that the most important thing we can do is to change our lifestyle to a more enviromentally friendly one.
This week's #Inktober52 is "Snake"! This is weirdly another image idea I've had in my head for a while and never really found and excuse to draw it, so what a perfect opportunity! It's also a slightly vague reference to the Greek god Athena! •
