Mike & Robbie have grown up but haven’t grown apart (swipe to see December 2017 ❤️). These boys are Steve’s sons (along with their third brother, Chip, who found his forever home a couple years ago). Steve was used for breeding, and when their breeder died, we were contacted to take in Steve and his three sons. They came all the way from Mississippi! Mike and Robbie are two peas in a pod, but Steve is an outgoing and talkative boy around all kinds of human and pig friends. 💚
Last night I got the opportunity to step in and help out a fellow rescuer by keeping these kitties for an overnight in Mobile. They were traveling from Davies, FL and had been in transport for 10 hours. I woke up early this morning and handed them off to the next driver who would be taking them a little further into the next 17 hours split between today and tomorrow. By Monday they should be safe and sound in El Paso Texas. There are 31 drivers on this transport and I’ve never witnessed something so incredible. The amount of organization, dedication, and community that it takes to make such a network happen. I was so impressed and so grateful to give these guys a place to rest on what is, I’m sure, a stressful journey. It’s for their best future though. 🐾💕
We were going through last year's Jom Belanja Us Makan album and we found this picture, in which the Orga Clan was featured.
They have grown so much over the past one year. They are huge in size and are super playful. They have this cute habit of carrying things and presenting them to us - toys, twigs, and coconuts.
Their mummy was roaming the track and was heavily pregnant. She asked to be brought into the Sanctuary (i.e. slipped through the gates when it was open) to deliver her puppies.
We let Maria in and the rest is history. Her puppies never knew the hard life that she had outside the Sanctuary. They are currently leading a very sheltered life.
Their smiles tell you everything you need to know. They are a happy and confident lot.
Enjoy Mungo, Midge, OJ and Maria.
Swipe left to see how they have grown from bowl-sized dogs to being as big as their mum.

This timelapse was taken last January 12, 2020 in Lipa City, Batangas. As alert levels escalated, Taal residents immediately evacuated to save their lives. Some fled leaving their pets and animals behind. 🐂🐴🐕🐾🐈 As I reviewed and watched this timelapse, my heart ached as I imagined the terror of the thunder and lightning 🌩️that those helpless animals have to endure that night, along with the struggle to breathe and withstand the heat of ashfall. 🌋 Imagine going through that ordeal. 😢😩😔 Please don't leave your pets behind in times of disaster. 😿 Support animal welfare groups in their efforts to rescue the poor animals left in the danger zone. Donate and volunteer!

Little Frieda enjoying her bath and that almost embarrassed look that we watched her hahaaa or maybe she's just not one for PDAs
Frieda was part of a pair in our outside aviary but her friend got out one day. She's since moved into the big aviary and look at her, so happy in there. #sunConure #parrotsofinstagram #animalRescue
Grey is finally out of boarding at the vet thanks to her amazing foster who drove all the way from San Diego to pick her up from the hospital! ♥️🐶She’s one of the recent pups with a fractured leg we saved when she had her time counted. 😔 She was becoming very kennel stressed at the shelter and tearing up her bandages and making her fracture worst. We rescued her and got her her much needed orthopedic surgery. These surgeries and boarding at the vet for 10 days is very costly, almost $6,000! And though the cost of her care is not over, because she needs to have her bandages changed every 5 days at the vet and needs medication for another 8 weeks and x rays every 3 weeks, fostering is tremendously helpful in keeping boarding costs down. ♥️ Thank you sooo much @madalenelord! #fosteringsaveslives
Thank you Pima Animal Control for helping this sweet girl and taking her to safety. Scared, dirty and wearing a flea collar that was choking her. She ran under my car and she had to be bribed to creep out. While waiting for #pac#pimaanimalcontrol she was fast asleep. Before handing her over it was confirmed they are a 99% no kill shelter. She’ll be on a stray hold if she’s not chipped and then placed up for adoption after 3 days. Thank you, Officer Chavez for dispatching PAC. #freedomride#animalrescue#tucsonpd
Rescued today. This pig had no way to flee from the #TaalVolcano eruptions. He and so many other animals are now safe thanks to PETA’s rescue team. To volunteer, see our last post. To donate, visit petaasia.com/taal #TaalRescue

Senior Keeper Megan teaches Level 1 Intern Kat all about food prep!
Duke loves going to the beach and traveling the world. My friend and neighbor Susan is giving his portrait to her stepmom as a birthday gift.
Susan’s donation is supporting @oregondogrescue. They are a no-kill dog rescue shelter that serves greater Portland. This is where Susan and her husband adopted their wonderful and goofy Great Dane, Zeus!
It was an honor to paint these beautiful horses, Candy (with the flowers) and Candy with Reina. These portraits were bought as a gift and helped support @idahohorserescue.
Idaho Horse Rescue helps horses in Idaho that have been neglected, starved or abused. IHR works hard to help as many horses as possible!! These were the first horses I’ve done and the first portraits completed for @givingpawportraits, a great reminder that anything and everything is possible!
This is my dad, his dog RJ, and RJ’s portrait. RJ was my dad’s best buddy and shadow. He was always by my dad’s side and there for my dad when he wasn’t feeling well. RJ was able to visit my dad in the skilled nursing facility and his portrait kept my dad company when he was in the hospital.
My dad left this world on Monday and in his honor, I’ve donated to @pawsforheroes. They rescue dogs and professionally train them to serve as companions for veterans, like my dad.
Thank you Stephen Powers for being my dad and a dad to my brothers! We miss your smile, laughter, great stories and most of all your love ❤️! RIP
Meet N O V A ✨, one of the 6 pups we pulled yesterday. She’s a playful puppy, is sweet as pie and absolutely GORGEOUS (despite her very botched crop job 🙄).
We’re super excited to learn more about her personality, but for right now she’s decompressing and hanging out with @agirlandherpibble. She also may or may not be a mini me of her foster brother, Thundey, and we CAN’T WAIT to introduce them (and get many twinning pics, of course 😍).

I have a lot of new followers and I enjoy watching you going through my account, Thank you! Many have asked about getting a multiple bottle holder 🍼 I feed the fawns separately because they are different ages. A 3 week old fawn should not be drinking the amount of a 6 week old. Different age & size also nurse at different times. Would it be easier to have a milk bar and throw all the bottles in and let them grab on.. absolutely but bloat can kill a fawn quickly.. also each fawn is in my care for different reasons therefore needing different attention. I add a lot of medication, vitamins, supplements into the bottles of each fawn so I have to make sure the proper bottle is given to the right fawn. Nursing 2 at a time allows me to keep a close eye on everyone. Even when the fawns are older and appear healthy something could change on a dime. I have caught many health issues nursing in this manner rather then hands off.... It’s time consuming but in the long run it’s best for the fawn and that’s what’s important ❤️ Obviously in the video I’m nursing one and holding my camera to show you everyone.... #nursing#bottletime#bestnonpayingjobever

🐾🥰🐾 My Punks @tallywood and I have been wanting a pup for some time now. But the timing was never right, work, schedule, always something in the way. But this month our dear friend @crimebydesign introduced us to @animalinterest & @savingcarsonshelterdogs to put our feelers out to save a baby. And when I saw “Kaputo” I knew I had to save him. I drove out to LA a week ago thinking I was going to be able to take him, but once I got there his story changed. He had been there since the beginning of November under a sensitive case and still had owners. The shelter said just to follow up with them to see if maybe he’ll ever get released but they couldn’t give me anymore info. So I came back home to Vegas without him and I continued to call them everyday this week. Heaven sent, his case closed on Monday and he was released for adoption yesterday. What’s so special and sad about his story is if I hadn’t given him attention with the help of Ray and Megan he would have been put down very soon as he’s already been there for so long. It’s not going to be easy, but he’s already loving his new home and slowly warming up in his transition. He hasn’t made a sound since I’ve gotten him, aside from him snoring when his belly is full. He loves his Mom and all the new yummy foods I’ve been introducing him to. Thank you for all the love you all have shown us. It’s so amazing to see how many of you have huge hearts and take the time to show us support. Tal and I cannot thank Ray & Megan enough for all their care and guidance through the entire process. They both are very special humans. If you or someone you know has the time, energy, and love to take on a baby who needs a second chance please reach out to your local animal shelter. They need us and I didn’t know how much I needed mine too. I changed his name to Merlin Crime Cooperman (after his uncle @crimebydesign ). He didn’t know his name before and I didn’t want him connected to anything of his past. And now we begin our love story...... @merlincrime .

There’s beauty in being misunderstood. Want to know why? — well, because it’s a guaranteed way to prove people wrong and still have their attention. Bully breed and special needs dogs are highly misunderstood all the time. Mostly labeled “Vicious” or claimed to be “No Good” with a fate of being put down because they were born different so “how could they possibly live a ‘good’ life that way..” — it’s wrong. Too many humans try to play the role of a higher source, when they can’t even take responsibility of their doings and give/feed life the way we are gifted to. It’s humans who alter these dog’s lives and create a mean streak, birth defects, bad reputations, etc — so why is it that when it’s time to step up and correct/care for those things, they flee & choose to let the animals suffer for the humanly wrongs. These things can never be swept under the rug, and these dogs know that — so they will always prevail. Just look at this photo — not a care in the world, living their best life in peace and harmony — so no, I’m not interested in hear otherwise. Compassion and truth will always conquer ❤️🙏🏽 Awareness is key & that’s our #SilentTedTalk for today 💋🐾🥰 — we speak for the ones who can’t ... (even ted, although he always has plenty to say 🤣).

I confess: I just love pink and I just love #Winnipeg (naturally-having grown up there and my family being there) So, Did you know that @whsanimals is the oldest animal shelter and welfare organization in #Manitoba and in fact they have been around over 120 years! The #WHS is responsible for finding homes for more than 4200 animals (and reuniting more than 700 dogs and cats with their owners) each year. #WinnipegHumaneSociety has been dedicated to protecting animals from suffering, and to promoting their welfare and dignity, they rely on our donations and events, and also have a wish list on their website, and a shop (where we can buy items like leashes, licence plate covers, and apparel like this sweatshirt my sister sent me THANK YOU HEATHER😛💕👍🏼) *not shown my WHS toque * AND OF COURSE WE CAN DONATE to help them continue to provide care and even a medical emergency fund, where we can earmark our donations to really save a life🙏 Or, the best part is that we can #foster or #adoptapet who is waiting for a caring and loving family or person🥰 Please consider visiting an animal shelter this weekend, and see how you might support the compassionate work they are doing to protect and save animals. Happy Friday, Beautiful Friends💖💖 I post this in friendship and gratitude. #adoptdontshop#fosterapet#volunteer#animalshelter#animalrescue#donateyourtowels#donateyourcar#donatecash#donatetosaveanimals#kissalltheanimals#hugananimal
