Forever my favorite Good Friday quote. And this feels especially fitting right now as we’re all living in a time of great uncertainty. For some of us, this might feel like a dark time and also somewhat hopeless. BUT, we can trust that God provides us with the ultimate hope and provision. We can look back at his track record and see that hope abounds—what better example than the Easter story? So if you’re feeling like the disciples on Good Friday today, take a deep breathe and start counting to three.

This is the first third piece from the bike triptych, inspired by the urban 606 Trail in Chicago’s west side. For about a year I lived in Logan Square and commuted to work in the 606 every day, it was so cool riding in this open trail lined by apartment buildings and houses. My favorite days were in the winter when there was no one on the trail and I had it all to myself. . .
