Villars-sur-Ollon’s ice rink is part of the tourist and sports complex that helps promote the
town. Its function is important in terms of recreation and culture. The ice rink, as one of the
few in the region, operates all year long, so it generates a large group of locals and visitors.
Residents are very connected with it, which is why the project provides for meeting their
most important needs without losing what is precious to them.
The new version of the Villars-sur-Ollon’s ice rink is modernity that takes into account and
respects tradition. The original hall has remained unchanged and has the same function -
the ice rink will continue to operate all year long. However, it has been added with a new
structure, which adds a new volume and enriches the functions of the object.
The new part of the hall contains many solutions thanks to which the building will be used
dynamically throughout the year. The second main facility right after the ice rink will be the
restaurant on the upper level. Regardless of the season and day, you can eat something
delicious, admiring the beautiful panorama of the Alpine peaks. This enables the highest part
of the building, which is also the glass terrace of the restaurant. It is open to the south which
gives very good sunlight and unlimited views both in summer and winter. Relationship between fashion and architecture: high fashion takes inspiration from all sources, from the natural world to fine art. fashion can be described as the wall of the body while architecture is the body itself. Fashion and architecture have many connections: they both aim to “make -shelter for the human being and reflect our taste.and aim to create perfect, comfortable and beautiful forms for the human body. . Fashion designers often site architecture and glamorous interiors asstarting points for their collections. Interior designers and decorators in turn often look to fashion for color stories, for patterns. Some even adapt dressmaking techniques and details into upholstery and wall covering. The shelter magazine Elle Decor does an excellent job at finding the many threads that link both worlds. According to interior decorator Mariana Kero, there are three prevalent trends in interior design, each of which were “borrowed” from the fashion world. These trends are velvets, metallics, and floral patterns.
Velvets—whether they’re on the body or in the living room—convey opulence, , and elegance. Emerald velvet has been particularly popular in homes, paired perfectly with plants and brown leather.
Then, there are metallics like brass and gold. Incorporating these elements in small doses makes it easy to accentuate a focal piece or add a pop of glamour to the most muted of spaces. Think: gold knobs, brass handles, lighting, and coffee table trays. And lastly, floral prints are fresh and inviting, and help accentuate the fresh vibes of Spring year round.
“The floral popularity has really been inspired by Gucci. ARCHITECTS THAT become fashion designers: Tom Ford:"Architecture was just way too..serious," he once said. "I realized that fashion was the right balance between art and commerce THIERRY MUGLER:"I am an architect who completely reinvents a woman's body. #References : mymodernmet.com forbes.com ukessays.com beautyharmonylife.com crfashionbook.com
Lawless Chair is a celebration of irregularity within a system, pursuing a more artful form that responds to the chaotic landscape within our structured society. The punk aesthetic within the chair contextualizes a poetic moment to reflect and voice through design, an attitude towards our hectically evolving environments and contemporary dilemmas. Taking ownership of truthful possessions, finding comfort in dystopia, and beauty in chaos may be a confronting reality, and opportunity to embrace new expressions in design.
