Have you protected your family in case of unexpected loss?
Everyone has an “estate”, be it large or small. Estate planning allows you to control every aspect of you and your family’s care, property, finances and safety when you no longer can. Families with young children are especially at risk of their wishes being unenforceable without a simple, affordable, will or trust.

We were engaged by a client for the tedious task of wrapping this high risk roof top terrace and planter boxes with a sheet membrane. Product lifespan is in excess of twenty years!
The membrane will be tiled and rendered over to acheive the finished product.

✨ Motivation Monday ✨
Push harder than yesterday if you want a different tomorrow. New approach = different outcome.
I love spending time in places that have a certain amount of “soft liberty”, but that aren’t too polished nor too gritty.
You might like New York for a week of museums and parks, but it’s far from the best place to live if you have a choice.
Then, I’ll park the money I want preserved in a wealth have. Think Singapore, Switzerland, etc.
I don’t live in my wealth havens because they may have great economics but less personal freedom, or they may just be boring.
Then I’ll invest my risk capital into up-and-coming markets that are underpriced and that only one segment of investors is focused on. Think Cambodia, Georgia, Egypt, or Colombia.
I love visiting Cairo but it’s not a fit to be one of my “home bases”. However real estate there is dirt cheap now and people are so afraid of it... until they realize 20 million people and growing live there.
This is my “global citizen sandwich”, and while I have money and investments spread across many countries, it’s a great way to get started with a clear picture of how to diversify internationally:
- Keep your money in safe havens
- Live in undervalued freedom havens
- Invest in up-and-coming boom markets

More like... quaranTIME!
Is it just me, or does it feel like having MORE TIME- actually feels like having LESS TIME?
Time is our most valuable asset. And with the current lockdown guidelines, we all seem to have received a bit more of it.
I don’t know if I’m the only one- but I’m almost jealous when I see posts captioned by ‘bored in the house and in the house bored’.
Oh, how I wish I had that problem!
It seems to me that TIME is an utterly scarce and overall relative commodity.
Somedays it feels like I have 16 hours in the day rather than 24.
So much so, that I’ve researched ‘time compression’ and the science behind the volatile perception of time as we grow older.
And interestingly, a study confirmed what I was experiencing.
They gave 5 minutes to a 12 year old boy and an 87 year old man to complete the same activity. At the end, they had to guess how much time they were given.
The 87 year old responded: 3 minutes.
The 12 year old responded: 9 minutes.
This shows that, although they’ve been given the same amount of time to complete the same activity, their perception of that time was completely different. For the older man, the time felt like flying.
And that is due to the fact that the more we live, the better we become at our mundane, repetitive tasks- the faster time seems to go.
When we are in a learning mindset, time slows down as the brain assimilates the new experience.
This explains WHY time went PAINFULLY SLOWLY in the classroom in grade 5 and why today we barely have the time to pick up our book on the bedside table.
So HOW do we SLOW IT DOWN?!
We slow it down by challenging our brains to experience, witness and learn something completely new each day.
By challenging our minds to embrace new levels and types of productivity.
And last but not least... By stopping more often to take in what we experience and practice gratefulness throughout our day.
By giving ourselves some precious moments of silence and solitude.
How do you guys feel about time?
Does it go faster as we grow older?
