We have some big news... Wonderful Wilma has passed her Hearing Dogs Assessment! 🎉😃 From a very fluffy puppy, to an incredibly clever and happy girl, Wilma has been a delight to train 💕 Congratulations and thank you to everyone who has helped her every step of the way 🐶
Only 1 full day left until me and Chester embark (pun intended 😂) on our biggest adventure yet!
I’m so nervous. On Saturday we will be going to Wales Comic Con (actually isn’t in Wales it’s in Telford) so on Friday I’m travelling down to stay with a friend. This will be Chester’s BIGGEST and longest working weekend. I’m so excited! We get to meet some actors from Doctor Who, meet lots of new people and eat yummy food.
I’ve been giving him lots of time off recently to prepare for this weekend. We’ve been working on solid heel practice and solid settle practice, which he has been doing so well at. Let’s do this 😎
I just finished part 1 of my autism assessment ✨
Sum did really well. 3 hour assessment of which 2 she was doing DPT (and not asleep). At one point the room got super hot and she started getting restless so i removed her vest. She decided off duty time meant going to cuddle everyone in the room and rolling on the carpet 😂 My dog is not a robot so her on duty markers went back on. The pressure and her heart beat kept me so calm that i didnt cry or panic or anything, even though i think i was heavily dissociated for most of it because i don’t remember any of what i said.
The assessment involved a really nice lady asking about my childhood and social life and sensory issues. There was a pre assessment form so all of the talking was based on that. It wasnt scary, they didnt film me or judge me for anything. She reacted like everything i said made sense so i hope it did 😂 I find out my result next appointment in 8 weeks.

I quickly made this bandanna for her to get in the Christmassy mood 🎄
We went to #leighlights this year and poppy got to meet Santa 🎅🏻 Poppy was amazing, she guided around hundreds of people in huge crowds and so many light, sounds and smells. I really have trained the perfect life changer 😊 #ppeepsforever
Quite often people tell me my dog can't be a service dog because she is 'so small' or start quizzing me quite aggressively what she is able to do.
First of all, Nova is not a 'small dog' she is a medium sized dog on short legs (she weighs around 14.5 kg/almost 32 lbs).
She is a working breed, loves to be active, loves to help, loves puzzles and challenges.
Nova can do so much, I made some pictures of our leaving and arriving home routine.
She helps me take off my socks and hands them to me, helps me open and close the doors, hand me the rope for the fence door (forgot the word). When we come home she does the door task in reverse takes off my gloves, snow pants and coat and hands me my socks. This is just one part of her job, she can do a lot more cool stuff.
I'll try to post more.
Any questions or suggestions please leave a comment.
Sorry some pics are fuzzy, she just works so fast.
#veiviserenhundeskole#blacklabradors#assistancedog#servicedog#servicehund#kjell &company #butikk#apport#labrador #❤️
Had a wonderful, super amazing meet up with @assistancepaws Stan was so excited to see his gorlfriend and her handler. They went shopping in two department stores, bumped into a pet dog and visited a Christmas market.
Today was a huge day! Fun but huge!
Kodak and Tilly had their first flight and handled it like pros. The @tigerairaustralia team were amazing! They were all so helpful! From the check in team to the cabin crew they were all wonderful! Thank you all for a wonderful flight.
They had their first tram ride, in peak hour and aced it! Was packed in like sardines and surprised people when we emerged from the tram corner with two assistance dogs.
Both our little country dogs are rocking the big city. So proud.

I have been caught in a whirlwind of terrible pain and symptoms with no real answers. We’re still waiting to hear back from my tests, and waiting on some other tests in February, and it’s hard to not let the “not knowing” get to you. Still, I’m trying to find little bits of happiness between the flares. I stole away for a trip with my folks to Universal over the weekend. Rosie got to visit the Hogwarts conductor which, of ALL the characters in the park, is her absolute favorite (in case you can’t tell by her face). The trip definitely put me overboard, and ever since I’ve been maxing out on medications and moving from heating blanket to heating pad like a lizard, but it was one of those mental health necessities. Now I’ll get back to tending to my physical health. ****************************************************
