The desert landscapes around St. George offer up year round outdoor experiences and come summer some of the best adventures in Southwest Utah are out on the water. Whether you prefer to relax on a sandy beach with your toes in the water, paddle on a desert lake or rappel along a canyon waterfall St. George has a water adventure for everyone. @greaterzionutah#atozion@zionnps#zionnationalpark@visitutah#utah
We watched a storm rolling through to the east from a sunny spot in the northernmost area for Joshua Trees in the US. After an afternoon chasing waterfalls that only show up every 10 years, seeing a grove of Joshua Trees in Utah felt pretty spectacular too. I’ve been to @greaterzionutah almost a dozen times and still there are surprises. Where’s a place you go back to time and time again, and where you are always surprised by how many adventures you stumble upon?
Alright! This reservoir is a little known gem in southern Utah. Ivins Reservoir is hardly crowded and a great place for paddle boarding (bring your own, as they don’t rent out). The views can’t be beat, but you are in the sun with no shade for cover so bring a pop up tent unless you are a sun worshipper. There are picnic tables as well. Plus it has nice sand. There is a parking lot and bathrooms, but it’s a bit of a walk to the sandy beach. So, bring a wagon to help you transport your gear. Oh, and no dogs at all.
If you could go on any hike in the world, which would you choose!? This past month I was fortunate enough to hike the my top one, Angel's Landing in Zion National Park! It lived up to all the expectations and more. So happy I was able to knock off this bucket list hike and explore with the @travelmindset crew in Washington County! If you get the chance, don't pass it up! Swipe Over to check out our full adventure.... #atozion#outsidezion@atozion@greaterzionutah
This was the kind of campground I could have spent a whole month at. Each canvas tent had a wood-fired stove in it to keep warm, falling asleep to that crackling sound each night was amazing! ⛺️ With no other sources of light nearby we sat outside stargazing each night ✨ @greaterzionutah#greaterzion #partner
I’ll follow you around the world, dressed head to toe in the most ridiculous outfits, and as long as you’re by my side we can set the world on fire. 🔥 ❤️ .
As Bob showed me this slot canyon we passed a guide who said “nice hat... but you’re not going hiking are you?” 🙊 😬 Nah, I’m just doing it for the gram. This was our last day, only two hours from our flight take off time and we just had to go back for one more photo. @greaterzionutah can we do it all over again?!
My favorite hike in @zionnps is Canyon Overlook. It’s super easy to get to for views that are just as good as the ones from Observation Point (without the 6-hour hike!). If you only have a day to explore the park, this has to be a must-stop so you can sit down and take in the amazing, awe-inspiring natural beauty that is the American west. This is one of those spots where Wow comes out of your mouth. Add it to your @greaterzionutah trip stat!

The Yant Flat (otherwise known as Candy Cliffs) in Southern Utah were a treat to see at sunrise. The colours, textures, and viewpoints were truly out of this world. ⠀

Go find a new rose 🌹, don't be afraid of the thorns. 'cause we all have thorns // Just put your feet up to the edge, put your face in the wind. And when you fall back down, keep on remembering // Every storm 🌧 runs out of rain. 🎼 There's always a country lyric to perfectly capture the mood, don't you think?
“I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.” Isaiah 42:16
