This is a view of our headquarters in Ljubljana, one of our many offices around the world. We are also located in Geneva, Moscow, Atlanta, Montreal, India, Hong Kong, Paris, Malta, and the UK.
As you can see, our offices are empty due to COVID-19, as we have established a work-from-home policy to keep our team members safe and healthy. We are enforcing all possible safety precautions. Even though our offices are closed, we remain available at all times. A key part of any flight is the information that is used for the planning and evaluation of risks.
As COVID-19 has spread in different countries at different speeds, we have seen the complexity of operational planning require incredible flexibility from staff with an increased reliance on personal communications and a strong relationship network developed through years of working with partners across the globe.
Our approach to making sure crews work in a safe environment and give our clients the safety and security of the Elit’Avia experience is built around our process for management. Detailed information assessment and risk management planning is backed up by staff with specialist experience across the entire aviation emergency response sectors that is tried and tested.

Shall we do a brief brief ... ☀️
Has anyone else thought how the IPAD has changed the dynamics!🤯
Once upon a time pilots had to calculate mass and balance via interpolation, a ruler and pencil. In turn the flight crew would gather information such as;
•Take of N1 settings for a small example. 🚀
Now I tap on the application - type in some facts & figures and get everything spoon fed. 🤫
Like a lot of elements of aviation.
The technology is there to aid. It’s time efficient and no longer prone to manual calculus.
It directly or indirectly (stance dependant) eliminates inevitable and proven human error. 🥺
Shame there is still a human inputting the data.
That is the floor in most plans to eradicate the flight crew - the process needs a kick start. It’s a great topic in truth.
Not to mention the multiple hundreds of documents stored. That’s thousands and thousands and thousands of pages of information at my fingertips. Of which were previously stored in book format located in the cockpit book cabinet. I now keep keep my lunch in that location.😜
If you enjoy a read- You’ll find some topics over at my blog ❤️
For now, That’s my view upon briefing the captain for the arrival into Milan. Yep - it is indeed via iPad. We don’t actually communicate verbally, we send one another IMessages 🙄🙃
