Milky way time lapse I captured at Eleven Mile State Park on May 21st. This is 344 images taken 15 seconds apart.
I was not anticipating the storm. Weather apps showed clear skies in the area, but about 30 minutes into the shooting the storm began. This entire sequence represents about 2 hours and 45 minutes.
I thought about stopping the time lapse, as I wasn't sure my settings would capture the storm properly, but decided to let it go and hoped for the best. I think it turned out ok.
Hope you enjoy it! ⚡️⚡️⚡️

Today we were supposed to be travelling 5,771 miles to my mamas homeland, Ecuador. It is one of my core beliefs that everything happens for a reason and I trust that for whatever reason, this was not our year. And whilst I am fully aware that this is such a first world problem and that what the world is going through right now is taking lives and livelihoods and affecting people in much worse ways, I can't help but feel sad that I won't be able to see and hug my beautiful family, introduce them to my partner and travel and explore Ecuador with him. I will just have to dream about it for a while longer 🦋 @svanessagiler estaremos en el primer vuelo a Ecuador 💚
@germanytourism | Foto: @rafaperez
