I always vaccinate my own animals, including my Maremma Sheepdog puppies, which I breed, and I always buy my vaccines from Jeffers. Their prices are way better than TS or the local feed store, even when you figure in overnight shipping costs. I usually just buy 8-10 vaccines at a time but I always end up a vaccine or two short. Well I finally decided to just go ahead and order the 25 pack of vaccines. It’s half the price per shot ($3) of buying a few at a time and they don’t expire until 2021. I’m pretty sure I’ll easily use 25 vaccines by then but even if I throw out a few if they expire I’ll still be way ahead. I should have done this from the beginning! 😂 #maremma #prancingponyfarm #maremmasheepdog#maremmano #livestockguardiandog #farmdog#farmpup#dog#puppy#puppies#lemoore#hanford#aww#dogvaccines#doghealth#jefferspet
I can tell most of the Pups apart, and have emailed our first 12 waitlisters to ensure they still want to adopt. If that's you, please check your email and reply asap!
Do note that these pups are 5wks old in the video. They are still developing and need to live with their siblings to do so. Everytime we have a litter and I show older pups together we get comments about Syrians being solitary... Pups need to stay with same sex siblings until about 6wks, but more is always better provided they are not fighting. They learn how to hoard, nest, burrow, groom, bite appropriately, go through their first heat... They build their immune system and learn how to hamster.
If you see hamster pups together - ask questions before condemning. I see a lot of well intentioned, but misinformed advice out there and ultimately, this hurts. It can even kill.
Unless you know about pregnancy and hamster pup development - consider simply asking questions and not giving advice. Telling someone to split their pups before they're ready can have a devastating effect on them, and I see it all too often in hamster groups.
Baby hamsters, like every other baby animal, play fight. This is normal and helps them develop.
So please, unless you're well versed in their development, keep your advice to yourself as it ultimately can cause a lot more harm than help. To put this into perspective, if I listened to every well meaning individual, I would be splitting my litters before they're even weaned. That's like ripping a not even 1yr old away from their parents and expecting them to be self sufficient little people. #informative
