3. 4. 2019 -- Started my day by visiting temple and praying to almighty. Nothing helps more than beginning a day with a positive frame of mind. A great way to keep the positives is to invoke the blessing from the God almighty. .
One of the oldest block printing techniques in India, Bagru originated in a small village near Jaipur called Bagru, a centuries-old center for hand block printed textiles. This village has a community, CHHIPAS- a traditional crafts people who print and design fabrics by hand. .
Bagru prints – a hand block printing technique to print and dye clothes using traditional vegetable dyes. Like, the color blue is made from indigo, greens out of indigo mixed with pomegranate, red from madder root and yellow from turmeric. .
Bagru printed sarees, kurtis, skirts, pants, jackets are must have for your summer wardrobe. Pair them with beautiful silver jewellery and kolhapuri chappals for that ethnic + contemporary look. .
It’s amazing how untold stories of these craftsmen and their crafts remain embedded in these beautiful fabrics. So, the next time you are in Rajasthan, keep Bagru in your itinerary and know more about it. .

Back with one of our all time favourite weaves for hot summer months. The humble kota doria. Despite having a rich heritage (check our stories), the saree remain the faithful friend of many people who wear sarees regularly on a daily basis. The weave is not extinct and does not require any revival. Thanks to its popularity and comfort, the weave is well woven till date and available widely. Given how comfortable this weave is, we sometimes wonder why it doesn't deserve all the credit it should get.
