Details are what we love and believe they are at the heart of interior design! To consider every element–no matter how big or small–to think about its function and aesthetic, but also how the light in the space affects it, or how it harmonizes with its surroundings—these are the keys to successful designs.
Dining Room at the Luna House definitely feels like the part of the residence, but has a distinct, slightly more elevated feel, with its charcoal details and black elements. The modern pendant over the table, Chord 48" by @alexallenstudio, anchors the space quite beautify, if we may say so ourselves.
Curated pieces in the art collectors apartment by Tow Studios. Some say the Bauhaus movement was inspired by ancient chinese furniture when the movement stripped itself of all western ornamentation . . . . . .

Most of us, if not all, have built forts when we were little. (Mine were mostly made of blankets draped over tables with layers and layers of cushions on the floor below.) Ever wonder why? As humans we expect that our surroundings offer us a refuge space, where we can safely unwind and relax. Such a refuge needs to also allow us to scope out our surroundings. Kids know that instinctively. By the way, this explains why the tall booths around the perimeters of restaurants are the most coveted spots!
Believe it or not, incorporating a refuge space is part of creating a nature-based interior! We have a few of them in this Kids’ Room at the Luna House. Check out the daybed nook with the fun wallpaper by @anewalldecor and the bed niche (see previous post)
At Sova Studio we believe that your home is your sanctuary, a place to relax and regenerate! This is especially important for the little ones, and creating extraordinary and safe spaces where they can flourish is key!
When we say ‘safe’, we mean it in every way, from the organic mattress and bedding your children sleep on, to the rug and floor they play on, the furniture they use, and even paint on walls!
Check out out the Kids’ Room we designed for the Luna House, inspired by the wild outdoor adventures!

What do we mean when we say that our interiors are nature-based?
We all innately know that incorporating natural elements into interiors has beneficial and restorative effects, and this is now backed by science. Just to give an example, studies show that natural (or biophilic) elements in schools are linked to improved student engagement and scores, and a decrease in absenteeism.
It's not just direct nature contact that can prove beneficial indoors. Think materials, patterns, textures and colors and even scents (essential oils). I mean, big Yes to live plants! Try nursery-grown air plants if you find that keeping regular ones alive is challenging.

We spend about a third of our lives sleeping, which means our bedrooms are the most important rooms in our homes. The quality of air is key in this space, so our bodies can fully regenerate as we sleep. The mattress, bed, bedding, other furniture and build-ins, floor and even paint, can all impact our wellbeing.
Here is our concept for a tranquil bedroom, which we like to call an oasis designed for wellness.
