. #winelover#sabadell#zcervezartesana#abadiadearibayos#cervezaz#cervesa#cerveza#beer#craftbeer#cervesaartesana#cervesalover#cervezalovers#beerlover#craftbeerlover#dubbelbelga#z -cerveza #instabeer

A quick 24hr trip to @moksabrewing for their biggest release ever? Why not. Before I even begin, a huge shout out has to go to @bud358 for arranging this whole thing by simply asking "want to go to the release?" and picking me up and dropping me off at the airport, mind blown by the epic levels of generosity dude, thank you! 🙏
✈️ If you've never been to Moksa from SD, it's faster than a weekday Monkish trip from SD! I left San Diego at 7pm, flew into Sacramento at 8pm and arrived at Moksa right at 9pm.
Warmed up with a couple beers at Moksa, but was alerted there were already 30 or so heads in line which was crazy, the brewery was still open!! Come 11/12pm when the "campout" started, there were 60-70 heads wrapped around to the street already. To add to the mounting stress to people not even close, (people drove from SF) no one really knew the bottle count until some people said 171 people were going to get bottles, by 3/4am it was absolutely full and done. It was pushing close to if not 200 people at 11am when it opened. 🍻 The beer...this amazing beer, let's talk about this silky vanilla coconut bomb of a whale that's backed up with that famous @horusagedales hazelnut and perfect non bitter roasty coffee. It is definitely the thickest Moksa stout I've had but it's got about a medium viscosity if I'm being honest and I think that may be perfect considering it's right at that threshold where extremely high ABV and stout sludge isn't exactly what you want. The nose is all coconut when poured cold and it's not overly sweet or cloying off the palate like some other big beers, Coco Vibes being the worst and most popular that comes to mind. It was a real special treat to have both non BA and BA Pastry Method's side by side but the BA stole the show. The original is a bit faded, still tasting good just not great anymore. I remember a hazelnut punch to the face that rivaled Adjunct Trail last year and it wasn't that anymore sadly but it's been a year, that's impressive it's held up still.
👊 Meeting a ton of new people and people I've spoke to and never physically met was maybe the best part of the trip. Sacramento has a great beer community! Huge thanks @bud358!!!
Captain Raisin Beard Imperial Stout @moondogbrewing 🍇☠️
One of my favourite icecream flavours has made its way into a beer!🍦Cos, who doesn't love Rum n Raisin? This 12.9% Imperial was sweet and liqueur like, packed full of vanilla, heavy on the rum and finishing on black cherry. Complex and delicious, I'd expect nothing less from MoonDog. I've not yet been to @moondogworld , but when I do, I'm looking forward to drinking one of these by their pool!
Two weeks postpartum, reopened the butcher shop @themodernbutchershop back up, and Poppy Rose is an amazing new employee! 😃 And even better I can finally enjoy a post shift beer 🍻 what better than @treehousebrewco Triple Shot, and wowzaaa this one is AMAZING. Cheers and happy Sunday!
