What you read is what you think
What you think is what you become .
And you know what’s the hardest thing to do? To think positive. It’s so hard that many people give up and go back to their home of negative thoughts and dwell there because it makes them feel more closer to “reality” they have created for themselves. They are addicted to feeling depressed and heartbroken. They have no motivation to lift themselves. .
And you know what’s the second hardest thing? To feel happy. Like genuinely from deep inside that makes you glow. Not a pretense of a smile or good talks. .
Why is that? Why are good things in life elusive? Go back to that first two lines I wrote in the beginning of my caption and tell me which word stands out to you the most? .
It’s such simple word that you overlook its multilayered meaning. .
What does thinking do? Thinking and thoughts are very powerful. They are so powerful that they shape you into the person you are. It’s like fuel, a food to your mental health. If you feed your mind all the terrible negative things, it will start believing it and it will start to destroy you. But if you feed it with positivity and optimism consistently, you will feel like you are blooming. .
Thinking is just the first step that pulls you out of that dark hole. Second is maintaining that mindset, another hardest thing. How do you do that? Practice positive thinking and train your mind. Immerse yourself in activities and set goals that will keep you in track. Detect habits that bring you down and reflect on why you should get rid of them. Set priorities that will keep you away from running back to that house of misery. Tell yourself that this is what you have to do because it’s good for you. You have to respect your priorities. Or else you will keep getting lost in the whirlwind of emotions. .
You have to trash out negativity. Don’t beat yourself up about what happened in your past. You are not perfect. Somethings were meant to happen either way. You couldn’t have done much to resist them. What you can do now is learn from them and mold your path out of it. .
