Just realized that I haven’t been posting much lately about my favorite little black mare🤩
We didn’t go to Drill practice last Sunday, but we are definitely going this week! These pictures were from two weeks ago & I never got around to posting them.
Prima is doing so well during drill practice & I’ve been doing more flag desensitizing at home in the round pen a couple times a week.
Riding Prima is a nice change from all the training we’ve been doing with Rugar, & I’m so glad I brought her home with me.
I’m really excited about all the possibilities this little mare brings. I’m hoping to start teaching lessons to kids maybe sometime this summer or next. I’ve never taught lessons before but she’s the perfect horse for someone to learn on & for me to learn to teach with! She needs more riding & consistent work to finish her training but she’s pretty stinkin’ good already.
I also want to do some fun gaming stuff with her in the future (maybe when I’m not as focused on roping), or even turn her into a heeling horse.
We have lots of time to figure that all out, but I’m most excited to get to know her & build a relationship. I know Rugar so well & I want to have that with her too!
Very very blessed to have such cool horses to play with😍🙌🏻

How does acupuncture work? 🤔
Acupuncture is used to treat any health condition, so how does it work?! Acupuncture works in a number of ways one, it supports the parasympathetic nervous system, the Vagus nerve. This is the bodies rest and digest state of being the opposite of fight or flight. Second acupuncture improves circulation, it does this by moving blood and energy, qi, around the body. In this way it can treat pain and many other chronic diseases. Third, acupuncture supports your bodies release of natural endorphins, Neurotransmitters, and molecules that help to manage pain.
When elected your Sheriff, one of my priorities will be to implement a fully dedicated traffic safety team! This team will be out there to make sure motorists are driving safely and to proactively prevent crashes! When buying new construction, we’re often asked if it’s worth the money and time to have an inspection before moving in. Bottom line: Yes!
Thanks to WIN Home Inspection for dropping by today to discuss the benefits of having an inspection done on new construction and for sharing specific examples of issues commonly found in new homes. #themoreyouknow 💡🏡

Traveling with dogs isn’t always the easiest. Some towns and cities aren’t very dog friendly and make it difficult to explore a new place with a pup in tow. Finding dog friendly accommodations can be even more of pain and can have extra fees. It’s sometimes more logistically challenging but we always try to take our puppers with us when we’re road tripping. Thankfully Bend, OR is only 3 hours from Portland and super dog friendly. With 9 off leash dog parks in the city of Bend there are plenty of places to take your dogs to run and chase a ball. ⠀
This past weekend @visitbend invited us out for a weekend of winter fun and provided us with awesome accommodations at @logecamps. We loved that the location was close to Mt Bachelor but also only minutes from downtown. There were lots of little sagebrush lined trails behind the buildings to walk the dogs on and Saturday night happy hour welcomed dogs inside and had great live music. ⠀
We’ve been to Bend many times before but this trip gave us a taste of some of the other local things to do that we had never heard of before. They say Bend has a million ways to play, the question is how will you find the time to do it all?! Visit the link in my profile to learn more about Bend, OR! #visitbend#sponsored

“She has been feeling it for a while now—that sense of awakening. There is a gentle rage simmering inside her, and it is getting stronger by the day. She will hold it close to her—she will nurture it and let it grow. She won’t let anyone take it away from her. It is her rocket fuel and finally, she is going places. She can feel it down to her very core—this is her time. She will not only climb mountains—she will move them too.”
Knit. Frog. Repeat.
These spring like days are great for leisurely working on new hat patterns, even if the weather is a tease.
Spring is in the air. Loving the longer days and knowing that in a few short weeks I’ll be hunkered down on a cold metal bleacher watching my teen boys play baseball. Given I live in Central Oregon there is an almost certain guarantee there will be some flakes flying ❄️ at times. All the more reason to sport a knit hat I guess.
⚾️ Baseball season also means gabbing with my baseball family (bliss) and knitting on the sidelines. It’s one of my happy places and a perfect excuse to knit, gab, and support my kids.
What is something you live about spring?
