The weight room is so much more than just moving weights for our year-round athletes. It’s helped their strength and movement which is a top priority, but its also taught discipline, patience and perseverance. It’s helped our athletes confidence grow through failure and success, increased their belief in their abilities and made them bring a new energy. Every day isn’t easy - but there’s always a chance to get better. #vasand#sandfam#bettereveryday#beachvolleyball#fitness
Are you setting yourself up for success or failure?
This is the week when statistically people are dropping like flies from their resolutions.
Everything in life come from how you're thinking about things.
Are you thinking about what you're "missing out" on because you're going to the gym, eating better, going to bed at a decent time, hearing what people says because you're making different decisions?
Anyone who's made a lifestyle change goes through this. Trading drinking & watching the latest bachelor with the girls on Monday, going out for happy hours/wine wednesday/dinners or going out on the weekends for working out, meal prepping and getting ample sleep is a huge shift. Add hearing from your friends saying you're not fun or that you've changed is hard! But what do you want in the long run?
I remember not being happy with how I looked. I was constantly getting colds, feeling run down, tired the majority of the time, and feeling like work was annoying. By changing my lifestyle it not only improved my body physically, it also translated over into other areas of my life.
By not being tired or lethargic at work my performance was even better, I got the promotion, and then head hunted by another company. I was improving my other skills outside my profession. My relationships improved. I found or reconnected with friends who were more in alignment with me, friends who were teaching me things and we were celebrating EACHOTHERS growth.
You can focus on what you're gaining, what's ahead of you, and what type of life you're building for yourself. It's all in your perspective.

Losing weight WON’T solve your problem.
My weight loss program, Think Yourself Slim, will help you lose the weight, but that is not the goal. The goal is to resolve the CAUSE of what’s driving the weight gain. You can lose weight, but if you don’t address what caused it, you will continue to struggle with your weight.
The reason our bodies hold on to excess weight is because we OVEREAT and consume more than our bodies require for fuel. Many of us experience a long hard day at work, a loss, a breakup, “nothing to do” and we eat. But there is no problem that can be solved with food except hunger.
What you’re left with when you stop using food to solve your problems is what you have to deal with if you want a permanent weight loss solution. My program is designed to help you face whatever you’re running away to food from.
It’s not intuitive to make an INTERNAL change if you want to see an external change. I get that. Most of us think we just have to change what we’re doing, but I teach my client how to BE the kind of person who doesn’t struggle with their weight so that what they do reflects who they are. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And what I know for sure is that who you are is BIGGER than the goal of fitting into a skinner pair of jeans or having a smaller waistline, though it’s ok to want those things. All I’m saying is that the size of your world shouldn’t be measured by your waist circumference and that’s what too many people are trying to do. The inches you lose by going through the 12 weeks of Think Yourself Slim represent the best years that are yet ahead of you in the direction of a healthier, happier life.
EMOMS. What are they good for?! 👩🏼🏫
They’re useful for both intensity management and skill development. ⚡️
Used correctly with the correct stimulus they allow the athlete to either take some pressure and intensity off to practice skills - such as this Ring Muscle Up EMOM - completing 3 - 5 reps each minute depending on the athletes current skill level. 👍🏼
Or we can add intensity by completing an EMOM with UB reps of Barbell Cycling or Cals on the Assault Bike to increase intensity and keep the output of energy high! 📈

75lbs for 3 sets of 15 🔥 #Gymshark66@gymshark - Day 17 | That means I've been babying myself with the 60lb barbell at planet fitness... well it's time to step up my game because 75 was too easy! Curious to know what I can do for 10 or 5 reps 🤔
If you want gainz then stop underestimating yourself. If you want booty gainz and you're not eating carbs and doing this exercise right here along with HEAVY deadlifts, squats, lunges, etc - girl you're gonna feel stuck. I know because I felt stuck for YEARS.
Now I feel like I could knock a homie out with my booty! 😂 Nah I'm playing but I have more strength and a bigger booty now than I did when I was doing 100 bodyweight exercises and barely eating.
Now I can say I eat at least 1800 calories a day - which I need to take up - and I'm lifting more than I have EVER. Thanks to progressive overload and compound exercises, and a carb loving diet, I am feeling my very best AND building thy bootaaay.
Goals are NOTHING until you dig deep and find your why 👇🏼⠀
My goal is to help women create a sustainable & healthy lifestyle they FREAKING LOVE through establishing an empowering and open community all while generating additional income. ⠀
Q: Why do I want to help women create a sustainable & healthy lifestyle they love?⠀
A: because I spent too time in a restrictive lifestyle I HATED. I yoyo dieted, exercised hours a day, and struggled with an eating disorder. This lifestyle didn’t force me into anything crazy and it’s something I can happily sustain AND afford. ⠀
Q: Why do I want to create an open and empowering community? ⠀
A: community is everything! We’re so much more likely to stick to our goals and stay accountable when we work together! It’s not always going to be easy, having a community to lean into during is key! ⠀
Q: Why do I want to generate income? ⠀
A: I have student loans and I want to increase my savings for a house, BUT long term I want to build a business so successful I can walk away from my full time job stress free when we start a family. ⠀
Knowing WHY I am working towards my goal helps me become a better coach for my ladies and prioritize my business needs 🙌🏼
[The Enemy Doesn’t Rest] on the weekend, and neither should you.
One simple hack that will turn the tide in your favor on the weekends.
Let me know if any of these sound familiar to you on the weekend…
“Yea, I’ll take 9 slices of pizza.”
“You need help with that pack of oreos?” (<< my fav btw)
“I did hydrate, I added a splash of H20 in my Jameson”
Most people will be motivated on Sunday night to prep for the week. Once Friday begins to roll around, motivation comes to a screeching halt and you’re left wondering how you ended up with a bowl full of Fruity Pebbles and PB&J (or is that just me :P)
Here’s how to put an end to it.
Make Wednesday night Meal Prep Day 2.
**cue the explosions**
🤯🤯...I know...mind blown, amiright?
Take the time to plan out your meals for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. And you can even leave room for eating out, but at least the rest of your meals will be on point and in line with your goals.
Let me know in the comments if you plan on trying Meal Prep 2 next week and tag someone who needs to start.

Gotta keep the momentum going. Three strong days of cleaning up my diet and getting a cardio workout in on my lunch. Down almost 3 pounds and I can feel my energy level starting to increase throughout the day. It's always hard for me to build the routine but it's definitely worth it. #teamawesome#backtobeinginshape#jiujitsuwho#bettereveryday
You are what you feed your mind. A lot of magical things can happen in those few moments before you fall asleep.
You make your own magic, make it a daily habit to celebrate the wonderful life that you live.
Perhaps you are closer to welcoming magic into your life than you realize.
🎉Fun fact… when you are standing on one leg and your ankle shakes a bit - it’s a good thing - because it’s building strength in your ankles… you know the strength you need to go roller skating. In my 20’s I tried to go roller skating for the first time since I was a kid and my ankles killed me after. 😳But last summer I went to my nieces’ birthday party and I had the best time roller skating! 👊⠀
⭐️So… earlier this month I did this cleanse and honestly it helped get me back on track. So if you are out there and struggling with that weightloss goal or just getting yourself back on track after the holidays…. I want to offer this to you! 🥳⠀
There is more information in my stories - but basically I am holding a raffle and will be raffling this off the 1st of February. ⠀
Check out my stories or message me for details.⠀
I hope everyone has a fabulous Friday! ⠀

The average American worker makes 117 mistakes at their job a year according to lifetime-reliability.com. That means that an average person makes a noticeable mistake once every three days in America.
We are human it’s literally in our nature to do things by trial and error until we get it right. It’s the nature of the mistake and how we learn from it that shapes our work persona. Take a look in the mirror and ask yourself “How do I respond to mistakes I make?” .
I know personally I try my best to make all of my mistakes learning and growing opportunities. Ironically, I still screw up even that every now and then. I try not to take things personally or attack myself for mistakes but even on my best days it could happen. You know what though? That’s ok, we are inevitably human and this is how we learn. I will say everyday I get better at making these unescapable mistakes learning experiences. Just as Oscar Wilde says experiences are just mistakes that we’ve learned from and the most powerful commodity in business is experience.
