When the cold storm arrived last week, instead of staying in and staying warm I decided to head out and see the last bit of fall. It was 22° when I took this and if you look carefully toward the center of the photo you’ll see icicles hanging off the log. Cold but beautiful. 🥶
Sneak peek for these two!! Jacob & Amber were so giddy for their photo session it got me so excited to work with them! We had a wonderful time at Silver lake in the 35 degree evening 🥶 They were champs & didn’t even act cold. They said that they were having so much fun they couldn’t even feel the cold until we finished! 🙌🤩❤️ so many more to come from this stunning engagement session!
“Love, Laugh, Live, Be Yourself, Be Happy and have trust in God. Live life to the fullest because it only happens once!”
I have learned that finding true happiness isn’t found looking back in my past or focusing and worrying about what’s going to happen in the future. I find my true happiness when I’m fully in the Present! And further to that, I’m in MY present.
I went to a @high.fitness convention back in June and something that @courtney.ellen.brown owner of @centsofstyle said that is only really sinking in now.
She said, “Armatures compete, professionals CREATE!! Look UP and focus on YOU. Ignore the competition.” For so long I’ve focused on other people and what their doing and how I should do this or that. But I finally 🚫STOPPED and realized to focus on ME! 💖Be ME💖
Being me is the best thing I will ever do in this life and you know what, I’m so much Happier for it!
So it’s time to stop looking at what this person is doing and what that person is doing and just do you! You will be amazed at just how 🌟bright you ✨shine in this world.
Can you relate? What makes you, YOU?
One last hurrah on my favorite summer ride before the mountain passes shut down in a few weeks. I absolutely adore this ride which takes me from Park City over Empire and Guardsman Pass, down Big Cottonwood Canyon and then back. I did this ride almost every week over the summer and fall. Some notables:
✅A bit over 8000 feet of climbing in 4 hours.
✅The hardest part is the first 45 minutes from PC to Empire Pass and this is based on scientific evidence, namely, ‘legguss burnus’ (I believe that’s the correct medical term)
✅I always do this ride on tired legs and always eat two peanut butter and banana sandwiches, 2 gels and 4 bottles of @skratchlabs sport drink (keeps the engine burning strong!)
✅I love singing on the hard climbs, keeps me happy, aware of my breathing and amuses the mountain bikers 😊 I always get a good laugh from them, especially since it’s usually something like Celine Dion that I’m belting out.
✅Always a solo mission on my @canyon_na TT bike
✅Always try and hit 60 mph on the descent back into town (sorry mom, if you’re reading this just ignore that)
Gonna let you in on a little secret. You'll probably never know which of my clients were feeling shy or which told me "I'm really uncomfortable in front of a camera" because my #1 goal is to make them fuhgeddaboudit 😆😆

Posting this picture because:
1. This bouquet by @art.in.bloom is what dreams are made of😍@glambyabb is a hair magician💆🏻♀️ & @ericasummermakeup is a makeup goddess!💄
2. I haven’t seen my yoga pal @rileeshalvis in forever and I miss her❤️
3. I’m heading up Big Cottonwood canyon later today to take pictures and I’m super excited!😁
I was thinking on our hike today how damn hard inclines are, how painful they are and how long it seems to take to get to the top. I always say to myself “at least the destination will be worth it”,which it usually always is. But if you take a second to take in your surroundings the journey to the top can be just as beautiful. Which made me realize how relatable to life hikes are. All of life’s challenges and goals we set we get so obsessed with the end that we forget to enjoy the process. Nature did it again, teaching me life lessons. #naturejunkie#fallhikes#girlsthathike#utahisrad#bigcottonwoodcanyon
I have felt lifted up, over and over again, by so many of you in the last year and half since making our profile public. Sharing our journey is sometimes challenging...but always worth it to have this community of love and support.

Imagine waking up on Monday of your goal marathon week with a 102 degree fever 😱. What would you do?
That’s exactly what happened to Brooke Shaw an amazing mother of 4 👨👩👦👦 who was coming into the Revel Cottonwood Canyon marathon this past month, nervous but determined to do her best no matter what life threw at her.
She took a couple of days off to allow her body to rest, missed her pre race workout but hit race morning determined as a warrior. In a race that starts at just under 10,000 feet of elevation, @littlerunnerbrookie absolutely destroyed her PR. There is no doubt sub-3 is her next step!
Congrats Brooke, on a well earned September Athlete of the Month!! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
