the orioles drop their six game winning streak and the first game of the series, 15-3. good news coming out of tonight’s game, anthony santander stays on 🔥🔥! anthony has himself another HR tonight, keeping his RBI streak alive. he now has atleast one RBI in eight games straight. he now has 20 RBI’s, making him become part of a four-way tie for the most in the majors. keegan akin made his major league debut tonight. huge congratulations! catcher bryan holaday made his fifth pitching appearance of his career tonight, with two outs in the ninth and the o’s down 14-3. he allowed 2 hits. it was the 17th time an orioles position player has been needed on the mound. milone allowed 3 hits, 0 walks, 3 K’s and 61 strikes out of 90 pitches in 6 innings. alberto had an RBI double tonight, and dwight smith jr., had an RBI single. tomorrow the orioles hope to bounce back and come on top as asher wojciechowski will be on the mound for the o’s.
It was just one of those nights.
The O’s lose big tonight as they end their 6 game winning streak after a long rain delay.
The Birds continues to struggle at home (3-7 in OPACY)
Milone wasn’t bad tonight, but he was giving up too much contact and the Nats were finding the holes, oh and the defense was very lackluster to say the least.
Positives for tonight, Santander hit a Homerun his 5th,
Akin made his debut which was very cool to see,
and Holaday got to pitch, (he was the best pitcher of the night).
Let’s just forget this and bounce back tomorrow night. Although it’s not going to get easier as we have to face off against Corbin. Wojo will pitch tomorrow for the O’s.

Winning streak comes to an end. #Orioles lose 15-3 against the #Nationals . Keegan Akin made his debut and did decent. Santander hit a homerun in the 1st to put us up 1-0 and that was the only lead of the game for us.

The score doesn’t do justice for this one. A lot of sloppy play by the orioles allowed the Nats to score more runs than they should have. Orioles we’re making contact all night but just couldn’t find the gaps. Keegan Aiken made his debut and was solid until the 8th inning when he got himself into a jam with 2 runners on and 0 outs. Aiken: 3.0 IP, 2 H, 3 ER, BB, SO. Oriole struck out just 1 single time all game, that came in the 8th inning when Chance Sisco went down looking. Orioles 6-game winning streak is snapped and they’re back at it tomorrow night! #BaltimoreOrioles#Baltimore#Orioles#Birdland#WashingtonNationals#Washington#Nationals#MLB
Tommy Milone wasn’t great but wasn’t as bad as the pitching line shows. He got no help from the defense which led to a 5-run third inning. Only 3 of the 6 runs he gave up were earned.
Milone: 4.0 IP, 9 H, 6 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 2 K
Akin: 3.0 IP, 2 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 1 K
Carroll: 1.2 IP, 6 H, 6 ER, 1 BB, 2 K
Holaday: 0.1 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K
The bats were just completely silenced all night. Anthony Santander hit a solo-HR in the first inning. Hanser Alberto hit an RBI double in the seventh. Dwight Smith Jr hit an RBI single in the ninth.
Defense was terrible. Offense was terrible. Pitching was terrible. All around it wasn’t a great night for the Orioles.
